traffic lines - coloring

traffic lines doesnt let us making left turn riding outside of our house. once i colored them black everyone in our house asks me to do it again cause color runs out. so i did it fief minutes ago again

i dont understand why is that - it was allowed since i remember i lived here. now - they colored double lines there..

i just wanted to ask what is punishment in US (or where ever you live at) for things like that..

and does anybody does it at rollitup?

You are allowed to cross a double yellow, if you're turning left. If you're making a legitimate turn you can cross just about any type of line.

Google has responded with a few sites that offer something to the tune of:

Double yellow only means no passing, left turns are allowed unless its illegal for other reasons. However, it is illegal to turn across a "barrier" or "island" defined by two solid yellow lines separated by a foot or more, with our without signs, optionally colored in with white or black, or with yellow diagonal hash marks. In some places, this rule is amplified by placing physical barriers, such as plastic posts or concrete curbs inside the "barrier" markings.
