tradesmen: what is in your tool belt?

I have some zeroturns a Scag cheetah and a TurfTiger dont really have an Exmark dealer near me. I like to keep a few stander and a walk behind though they have their uses hillls Retention Ponds and such. I use the Zero Turns more though. I hate to bag on any stander they don't hold anything and they're a pain in the ass to empty

For some reason I think you're in Florida...? Not sure why

I saw nothing but scags on siesta key the past few weeks while working. That st. Augustine doesn't stripe for shit.

I have a pair of leather Occidental tool bags with padded suspenders.
Depending what I'm doing, I usually carry;

Vaughn, cats paw - Japanese style nail puller
Vaughn, 24 ounce fiberglass framing hammer
Carpenter pencil
Sharpie
Wooden Keel holder
Stabila magnetic torpedo level
Swanson speed square
25 or 30 foot Stanley Fatmax tape measure
100 foot tape measure
Klein adjustable spud wrench
Klein wire tier pliers
Knipex wire cutters
5/16 and 3/8 nutdriver
Magnetic apex and #2 Phillips bits

I don't carry buckets around but the company provides 2 @ 20 foot connex shipping containers full of tools and a laborer or apprentice to fetch things throughout the day.

No not Florida im in the empire state. I used to know the local scag dealer and got good deals. Most lawns out here are crab grass ridden rye junk lawn and the nice one are Kentucky blue grass.

I ran pex underground from my well to my pressure tank. I was told that current code, at the time, didn't allow for pex to be ran underground, but there was nothing wrong with doing so, and I didn't have inspections.
It was a he'll of a lot cheaper than copper!

I use to run pvc underground but about 10 years ago I switched to pex , like you said cheaper and no joints ( except the ones we smoke ) I've never put copper underground, except for gas line .... ok so I guess I've buried a good bit of copper , but only soft copper . And I don't do that anymore . I'm building a house for my daughter and in that area their is no inspection process at all however I only build to or above code because of resale value how it effects possible loans.

I used to have an uncle who kept a .50 cal armor piercing round in his pocket (just the projectile - duh) that he used as a punch. Damn thing would dent anything he hit with it.

And then someone pointed out that they typically use depleted uranium to make the tips. You should have seen the look on his face. ;)
