Totally dank smells coming from my grow at wierd times of the day.

So I may be crazy but it seems like maybe once every couple days my grow has been getting super stinky, then it mellows out after a few hours. Its even woke me at night, only to have mellowed by morning. Is there some wierd thing that plants do as far as terps go? Or maybe has anybody else experienced this? Thank you in advance.

Could just be in your mind or something thats got nothing to do with your plants like wind drafts or something.. when my stuff starts to stink its constant

Is it warmer during those times?

It happens to me too sometime late into flower during lights off, but I dont have my exhaust turned all the way up either. Make sure your filter is securely connected to the fan; had this happen too. And as padawan said, heat / humidity

It generally is transpiration. Watering and lower temps seem to concentrate the smell. All normal. LOL.

No carbon filter, just a fan to keep the air circulating. 12/12. When the lights turn on the temp will get to about 75 at warmest. I have noticed a correlation between temp and smell, but its minor compared to what I have observed. My only idea would be the wind could be pressurizing the room, causing the smells to escape. But it has only lasted about an hour maybe two each time. I have thought of certain plants using airborne chemical signals. Im wondering if anybody has observed this in cannabis? Kind of far fetched. But it's got me thinking. Thanks for the replies.

It gets pretty humid in there and with the spring weather the humidity outside has been all over the place.

It’s their stomata opening up and letting out a hoorna funk.
