Soz this is a double post (put in newbies) and have just spotted this room cos the site is soooooo big :)

....

Hi all,

Have been floating about on this forum for a while and have looked at a number of guides, but the info ive read has left me a bit confused about what type of LED light would be best for me.

I Think Ive got most of the setup covered now but i am quite confused by all the different types out there and which one would best suit my setup.

IL be growing this in a full ATX PC case as a stealth grow on a mega tight budget (as cheap as possible as i have bugger all xtra funds)

Ive found a number of lights on amazon that are in my price range and was hoping that people could take a look and advise which on they would get if they were in my situation. ( cant post links atm so ive post the name/model number in, just copy n search)

1 > LTRGBW SMD 5730 12V DC 30LEDs ( this is my 1st choice purely as it uses 5730 LED`s - but i aint got a clue what the wattage is or if i can use to grow weed as its says its an aquarium one)

2 > Create Bright Led Grow Light Bulb, 28W Plant Bulb Full Spectrum Led Grow Bulb E26

3 > LED Grow Light Bulb, OxyLED Plant Growing Lights Bulbs, Growing Lamp with Red/Blue Spectrum for Indoor Plants, Hydroponic, Greenhouse,7W,E26,GL01

4 > SINJIAlight 100W LED Plant Grow Light Newest Full Spectrum Led Grow Light Bulb 150 PCS SMD

5 > LED Grow Light Bulb | 28 W | Full Spectrum by Vuxio

6 > Led Grow Light Bulb, 60W Full Spectrum Grow Lights E27 by Haodude

I haven't added any LED strip lights, which i have considered as I cant figure out what red to blue to white ratio i need & also if they will even work at all?

The Lights are the last thing i need b4 i can go ahead with the grow.

I should mention that I hope to use the PC case in the future for Clones only and that I will be moving the plant into a small grow tent and would like to use some LED`s for the flowering too.

> Finether 60x60x140CM Hydroponic

This is going to be a experiment for me as il be using normal sensi seed Skunk N1 that i bought 13 years ago in the DAM that i thought I had lost ... will use normal soil, LED lights, LST in pc case and a SCROG in tent.

Ive been told this strain can take a quite a bit of shit, but id rather treat it like a princess if i can help it ... after all it is a living thing :)

Anyone help?

All those Lights are shit. Buy a single quantum board that wil fit on your PC case. It will give you maximum height ability and lowest heat.

Hi peeps and thx for ure responses.

WeedSexWeightsShakes - yep, id like to start my grow in a PC case using LST and then at some point move it in to a tent and scrog it. In the future I will just use the case purely for raising the clones i get of the motherplant to do a rotation

Airwalker16 - thx for the input but quantum boards are not "budget" for me so its out of the question.

coreywebster - thx for the advice the DIY a strip builds look V interesting :)

Concentrating purely just on the PC build atm - I do have a pair similar to these already wired up and ready to go (mine are 3000k & 30w), would they work for the time being until all my other bits were setup ie growing from seed till i can transplant into tent?

Still cant post links so go to dhgate and search

Hi Humple,

they are approx 195 x 450 x 450 (WxHxD mm) Ive got front & rear 120mm fans installed already. The current light budget is £20, unfortunately o_O

I would not take care of a plant for 3-4 months for such a low yield there is a few people who grown in a 5gal bucket it may better for you to check them out.. but still sounds like a lot of efforts for larf

Hi & thx for the input & apologize if its written a bit has-maz, im dyslexic so this happens :(

Viceman666 - I don't intend to do the full grow in the PC case as stated in previous posts, I will be moving to a tent with either another LED setup of a set of T5`s, so that should sort the yield problem.

Can I re-ask, are you sure that this lamp is a POS? - SINJIAlight 100W LED Plant Grow Light Newest Full Spectrum Led Grow Light Bulb 150 PCS SMD - Ive done a bit of further reading and found that the LED type that it uses is ment to be better than 50/50 SMD as it is brighter ...

quote " SMD 2835 Chips (Which are utilized in our Luma20 strips) look very much like 3528 chips, but they are 4.6 times brighter. They're smaller than the 5050 chips (2.8mm x 3.5mm), but at 18 LEDs per foot they are 4.6 times brighter " would post the link but I cant :( found on the hitlights website

also Ive found this on amazon > 40W LED Corn Light Bulbs, WOOPHEN 4000 Lumen Cool Daylight White LED Street and Area Light, E27 Medium Screw Base < its runs 6500k and is in my budget .... would this be suitable for what i need ?

To simplify your thinking and why we are saying its POS .. those lights are probably about 100lumen/w while newer LED can reach a little higher than 200lm/w.. what it means for you is for the same power draw from the wall you will get half the light to your plant that could normally get. It also means that because your light is less efficient, it will produce also more heat.. but good luck with your grow

Edit : 6500k seems very high id probably not go over 5000k for veg or 3000-4000k for full grow (veg+flower)
