Why hasnt this worked for people??? I dont understand it still to this day sound brilliant to me...

Light under the plants..
Out of the way of falling water...
cover up the bag so it doesnt get all sweaty and no light hits it.

and all the ntues will fall into the plant and it can work on growing and getting sticky to the icky icky man!!??

well for one plants grow against gravity so youll have to waigh the tips down with somthing so they will grow down

But see, My theory would be that the plant will grow towards the light...If I had a bucket to ctahc drainage directly underneath the plant and then 2 150 watt hps lights on either side right next to the bucket...that oughta cause the plant to want to either
a..grow towards the lights in hopefully end up in a bushy type fashion
or B....grow out the hole and then UP the side of the topsy turvy...

I ordered 3 of them 2 days ago they said 6 to 10 days...I'm going to do a full blown grow journal on this... 3 topsy turvy's and 3 different ways .
Ill do 2 of them the way that most people prove that it wont work right, and then I will use the way I am thinking about for my 3rd...
these will be indoors, and maybe one of them outdoors.
go from seed, not clone...all natural lol

I dont know, But I am damn sure going to find out... I cant imagine a plant not wanting to grow when its not being required to work against gravity for nutes and trich delivery and things like that. We'll see i guess haha

ive got a question and info... :)
the heat of the bulbs is going to rise so what type of light are u using, and how will you cool it?
are you going to grow Marijuana with this method?
are you looking to grow a bushy plant easily?

when a weed plant is growing, the plant naturally puts auxins(growth hormones) to the top of the plant, so even if you tie the plant down it will after a few days be growing straight up again.

I tried a DIY one in a tree, Used a new paint can that was camo with old tree bark wired around it nearly invisibel.
Use small clones.
I put a NL in the bottom Ak on the top.
The Northern lights on the bottom shriviled an died in 2 weeks (to much water? Not enough light?), the AK on the top thrived.
Id recomend trying one in the top also, as a control test an it could doubel your yeild?........

The only advantage supposedly to these Topsy Turvy grows is that your plant isnt fighting against gravity. You don't place your lights below the plant they still go above (Notice that when you use the topsy turvy outdoors the sun doesnt magically appear under your plants instead of above)

There's no real advantage to growing in this manner unless for some reason your floor in your home is coated in molten lava making it impossible to grow on the ground. The only way I could ever recommend using these is to multiply your growing space. This means you'd have your normal plant beds on the ground with additional plants hanging from the ceiling with light sources off to the side of each set of plants.

EVEN then, you'll have to worry about running two completely separate nute regimens and watering cycles as plants that are upside down will naturally utilize nutrients and water at a different pace than standard plants.

All in all, topsy turvy planters are just not realistic, especially for large scale grows. There's no definitive advantage to growing upside down other than relieving the force of gravity on your plants (which really doesn't affect growth as much as you'd think.)

Thats just my 2 cents on the topic.

Regardless, GL with your grow hope it works out.
