did a scrog and have a pretty even canopy except for about 6 shoots, there all about 12 inches higher than the canopy so there litterally 2 inches away from the reflector burnin i try and move em the last couple days outta the light seems to be working a little bit...my question is can i just hack those few tops? i mean theres mad shoots comin out from the mian stem that line up with the canopy those 6 are just too high they need to go i have no more room to raise my light...what do i do!?!? 3 weeks into flowering

ps it seems like the tops thats are real close to the lights have stopped growing completely haha please help!

put a fan to blow directly above the canopy.
dont top them or you will be dissapointed later.
Try cool tubes or the fan idea. or maybe lower the temps in your grow? that might help haha
tie them down more?

you can bend the main stem right over so the tips are below the canopy , i have done this before , the stem stays bent but the shoot points back upward..... but only during the veg stage not flowering , hacking them off seems brutal but they will survive if pinched off, cant you raise the light a little or air cool your hood using a glass screen and a fan ? seems less drastic to me tbh ....

i had a mate that crushed the stems near the top so that they collapse and bend downwards as the same was happening to his, from what i can remember the plants sent out new shoots lower down and overall he ended up with the main shoot plus 2 others growing. im not sure if this was a total fluke or if it is a viable method but im sure someone will be along soon to confirm this or not.

I would not raise your lights. I would tie them down, or cut them. Why compromise the whole screen for 6 shoots? If you raise your lights, that's exactly what you will be doing.

don't cut em, just bend the stems over at canopy level & let that light broaside those tops. you'll be stoked you didn't cut em.

That's what I would suggest too, if you can get them to stay down. BUT if it means that you are compromising the light to the rest of the screen by having the light raised, it's best, IMO, to cut them. Google "Light Inverse Square Rule" and you will see what I mean.

are you flowering yet? if you are still in veg then training them should be easy. But if you are in flower the longer you wait the "harder" the stems get thus making them harder to train..

definitely tie them over, they'll love it.

If you need to bend them a lot, just do it little by little over a few days

Twist the stem back & forth at the point you wanna bend em before tying em down. they'll be less likely to snap in half, but even if they DO break, so long as even a little of the stem is intact you'll still get more bud from em than if you cut em off. I wouldn't even trip about bein 3 weeks into flower; tie them suckers down; level out that canopy!
