Topping Off Reservoir - How Much Nutes?

I have a 6.5 gallon reservoir which I have to top off twice during the week. I change my reservoir completely once a week. What I have been doing is mixing the additional 6 gallons of solution at half strength and using that as my top off.

I'm considering increasing the nutrients in my top off to 3/4 strength.

Any insight would be appreciated.

I agree with WhiteRooster, a TDS meter is the best means of keeping track of the strength of your nutes, that's the only way I do it.

Thanks for your replies. I've got one but I've been unclear on what it was supposed to be used for and how to interpret the numbers. I think I get it now.

So when I change the reservoir, test the TDS of a fresh batch of solution? Then as the water level depletes, test it again and add more nutrients accordingly to bring the ppm back up to the level the fresh solution tested at?

I also need to figure out some sort of tolerance to account for the little bit of solution that I can't suck out of the reservoir... I would say a half gallon at most.
What I'm thinking is that I should test the TDS immediately after adding the fresh the solution the reservoir. After a couple hours come back and take measurement again. If it's raising the TDS by a 100 or more, flush the system.
