Topping/Femming??

I understand the basic principles of topping and femming, but one thing I don't understand is when should a person start topping and femming, and when should a person stop??(at the start of flowering??) Is there any differences between topping/femming outdoors and topping/femming indoors??

Any ideas at allll??

I try to do all of my topping and such during Veg. but sometimes it can not be helped. The only time I will take a top off while flowering or even starting to flower is by accident. I have broke a few off.

yes, best to top in the veg cycle. the plant will usually need a further weed in veg to catch up once topped.
