Has anyone had any luck topping the NL x Big Bud Auto? If so, I would really appreciate any tips or advice...

never topped that strain
but some advice if you top it do it once before/around preflower
then poke holes in your pot to lst the branches down
understand that doing this is going to add time to the total time of harvest
figured i'd add i wait until the plant has 5 nodes or so the chop the main stem down to 3 nodes
it helps the plant establish a big healthy root system and it easily copes

Righteous Tek! Thanks for the tip. Just transplanted the ladies from 1 gal nursery pots to 2 gal airpots tonight. When I move them to flower I want to put them in 5 gal airpots. I'm def going for MASS bro! Had plans to build my own SCROG? Do you think it would be a better idea to tie them down to the pot?

Put them in 5 gallon pots now if you're going for mass. Auto's need to be put in large pots right away if you really want them to produce.
SCROG ALL THE WAY.
DO NOT TOP/FIM/SUPERCROP.
I know people are doing it to auto's now, but trust me it's stupid.
If you ScrOG you will far surpass what you'd get with any of that.
Just proper LST with auto's will give you more colas than Top/Fim/Supercropping ever would.
People talk about finishing times being lengthened...
Shit, I wish. The reality is they finish at the same time regardless and you end up with a smaller plant.

5 dry pounds off 12 plants in a 4x8 tent.

my plants do take longer tavidude
i did a side by side on afghan kush ryder to confirm this once again
75 days for lst and supercropped
looks to be about 90 for the topped supercropped
i have 3 little akr's in party cups one will be topped the others not so i guess
i can test this once again
After much back-and-forth, i topped my NL Auto a few weeks ago. It was approaching day 15 ish...No adverse affects on it...And now I have not 1, but 2 tops

use 25 gallon pots ! and 2 thousand watts per plant get a respectable 16 ounces.
