Topping at the 2nd "true" Node Question

Hi,
I'm getting ready to top my blue cheese and I have a question.I want to top at the 2nd true node, but at my 1st node the leaves had dried up so I cut them off. My question is do I still count that as a true node, or do I now top at the 3rd node instead?
Thanks,
cs

i love the blue cheese strain! just finished a slice of it as a matter of fact! so tasty!

your question....

yes you can actually top it anytime you'd like to... i usually top after the third node shows it self but topping at the second would be ok even if the first nodes leaves were sacrificed. however if the plant is in any kind of shock or stress then it may prove fatal to the plant if you top it before it recovers. like i said though.... as long as the plant is healthy now then top away!

Are you talking about topping after the 2nd node? Just wondering how this works if you removed the leaves from the first, then topped the 2nd, wouldn't that leave you with just a bare stalk?

It's okay, I just got hold of some hot soil, well too hot for my wee seedling anyway. I've never tried the blue cheese, but it should be fun. I can't believe how bushy she is, even now at 2 weeks. Thanks for your input :-)

there is some other growth as well, but you're right not a lot of it. I wanted to the 4 main cola things I've been reading about and you're suppose to top about the 2nd true node.
