Hey. Actually every thing is going good. I think the Dill is done though cuz it seems to be dieing now but my regular mint plant was taken out of my AeroGarden and put into its own DWC bucket and its got new growth all over and I took 9 cuttings from it.

Yeah once dill hits its maturity and flowers its over but you get plenty of seeds to start over.............i got a shit load of italian basil growing under a 250w Cmh and all the new growths are leaf curling. Can't figure out the problem......ever have this issue???

I have no idea what causes it but depending on the kind it will do it naturally.

Yeah i've gotten the usual............over fert/under fert/thrips/gnats/wind burn(lol)/under water/over water/ and wait for it...........uvb/uva burn...
anyways it seems less obvious outdoors... we get some ocd staring at it for hrs indoors........i'm gonna wait it out under the KISS system...
happy growing.....

I hope the problem get fixed. Nothing worse then losing a herb plant that took you months to grow out just to lose it.

if the herbs are flowering and you dont want them to just cut the flowers off and the plant will continue to produce foliage

Yeah, but dill is fickle about inducing regrowth........most people tend to just reseed due to the strong flavor change as it begins maturity.
Either severely cut back most of the growth at the earliest signs of flowering or deal with flavor change forever...
But my basil problem is another matter as it is affecting all new growth.......i'm leaning towards the cmh bulb

----- November 26th, 2011 Update -----

Hey all. Sorry haven't been posting in here. Been very busy with real life stuff and making and planing out my 2012 list of things that I wanna get done and how I can get them done in what order. The AeroGarden has changed since then and I will be posing updates on it when I get the chance.

looks like that main root wants to grow as a new plant
It was. about 7 days later I saw about 10 to 12 new plants it was trying to grow. I took 9 cuttings off of it and I ended up with 3 or 4 very healthy cuttings. I killed the big one off and used it for tea.

Is it common to have a bit of problems cloning basil?

ive never cloned basil, but a soft cutting should be fairly easy, i would think.
Well I tried and I had about 2 out of around 8 rooted. But then again it might be the plat its self since they say its a hybrid kind.

Do you know of any herb plants or seeds that I can buy that taste like Star Anise that isn't globe basil?
