You can top it, you may want to transplant also to get that stretchy stem under the medium.

Do you have 5 true nodes? If so top above second for the four coal UB method. I would transplant first personally..letit get acclimated, then top. Clone that top for another plant

I agree with the other posters, definetly transplant her into a larger pot ( and keep the feng shui stones for good vibes lol) then top her, you dont want to put it through the stress of topping followed by the shock of a move, dont want to risk it goin hermie on you, not sure if it can happen that young but why take the risk. hope that helps some, good luck on the grow.
