too much shade?

My outdoor started flowering last week. it gets direct sunlight from 5:30 am - 1:30 pm. Then shade for the rest of the day. Then the sun sets around 8:30 pm. I'm in the low desert in Cali. This is my first summer time outdoor grow in this area. I've done a few batches in the fall and winter and even had a spring harvest. I was expecting the plants too veg for a while longer.. not sure if its too much shade or just my area.. Would it be pointless to turn a light on to make it revert back to veg? That would take about a month of slow growth.

I'm pretty close to you and I got plants that only get 4 to 5 hrs direct sunlight and there vegging fine.
Did you have clones that where under lights for 24 hr on all the time
My friend had some clones flower only cause he did that
You have to have them on like 18/6
So that it's not such a drastic change when they go outside.

I had the same problem with one of my plants. Its been flowering for about a week but the one beside it hasn't started yet. I'm thinking the one that is flowering got a little more shade than the others. They've been outside since late april early may.

They went into flower when you put them outside. Im going thru the same thing. Put a light on them , top them and beef up the vegg nutes.
