too much lumens?

i was thinking about using a 1000w Eye Hortilux Super HPS 145,000 lumens and a 1000w Agrosun Super Red Sodium 146,000 lumens for a total of 14550 per square foot in a 5 foot wide by 5 feet deep by 7 feet high. i know heat would be a definant issue but if it was kept under control would using that much light give better results than using just 1 1000w?

you will need air cooled cylinders and a heavy duty filter. You will probably burn your plants either way. The only way to run that seamlessly, would be to vertical grow them. You would be better off with two rooms. You should go with 1000w hps and a 400 w mh or convert bulb, for same room, always more hps than mh. You will have to run two 1000's off seperate breakers as well. The energy to lumen output is a waste in a room that small

would even adding an extra 400w mh make a significant difference cause that room would be getting all it needs with just 1000w hps. i was just trying to see if getting that "10,000" lumens good old mother nature gives us would do anything significant.

adding the 400w mh, to the 1000w hps is ideal, full spectrum lighting is what you want, and it's not over doing it. This is perfect if your vegging and flowering in the same room.

yea u really cant have to much light especially if ur going to have full spectrum the biggest concerns are temps and energy but if u can manage both it will never hurt might not make a big diff but wont hurt

You could do both over a 5x5, I've done similar. It's just wasteful though, past the point of diminishing returns.
