Too Much Light?

I just finished a 6x6 room and I have two 1000w hid's (1hps and 1mh) does anyone think this will be to much light for this size room ?

As long as you have proper ventilation u should be ok. You might need to run ac though

Funny you should mention that. I just installed an ac unit today. this is my first time posting. by the way this room is just for flowering i have a smaller veg cabnit with fem Afircan Kush + White Widow germing.

I was thinking about getting the growzilla reflector for my lights. anyone got an opinion about them ?

2 1000 for that size room is a little over kill but will work. 2 600s would be way more adiquate and cost affective.

yea, thats what i would like to have to. but i got a hell of a deal on the 1000`s from a friend of mine, and couldnt pass it up.

you can never have to much light but you can have to much heat..

I hear ya. I would definetly use cool tubes or reflectors cause in that space 2 1000s are gonna get hella hot.

This is a pic of the reflector. I want to put my 2 1000`s in it and vent it. good idea ? or not ?

is it a cool tube? or a box with a glass screen? or is it open?
if its one of the first two for sure, but remember i would get atleast a 240 cfm fan to suck that heat out, especially for a room so small

2 in 1? If its big enough maybe. My friend runs 2 1000 in 1 through a cool tube and his temps where still high until he started runnin a/c through the tube.

heres a lil better pic. yes it has two mougl sockets in one sealed air cooled reflector. Im worried bout getting rid of the heat. I never thought about ac air through the light hmmmm.

You should be fine bro. I'm running 2 air-cooled 600's in a 4x4' tent with no issues. Shine on!

water cooled reflectors are another option. They are a lil pricey but if you don't run ac through the reflector, not being an expert in any way, those temps are going to be hard to control. best of luck

2000/36sq ft= 55 watts per sq ft. That is about perfect.

thats exactly the way i had it figured hornedfrog. I built three other rooms in the past but just 400w hps and a few flor. Nothing on this scale. I will have more questions and mabe some answers as I get used to this fourm stuff lol and i checked on water cooled reflectors and the damn chiller is a big expense. do you have to run a chiller with a water cooled reflector ??

i have a 2ft x 2ft x 4ft tent with 2x 600w cool tubes i have silght heat problems i am tryin to sort now but the plants love them extra watts
