too much hate

Why does every debate turn to into ppl spewing hatred? I think we have been conditioned to act like this in general. We used to talk, disagree, and move on, but now ppl take it to a whole other level. I don't think we have enough facts about much of anything to claim we are right and others are wrong. We have books that can be treated as fact, but still not much in the way of proof other than others "word". Let a guy in a lab coat speak and next thing you know everyone is regurgitating the same shit, and more times than not, they add their little twist to it.
It seems pretty obvious to me that all our lives/history has been many lies and misinformation, so I try to just debate with common sense vs what ppl would call education. I remember back in grade school, science teachers told us about the layers of the earth, but later found out it was just a theory, which means that is was just another opinion. Now im not saying it is or is not, but seems like they "taught" us a lot of what they THOUGHT.
So my question is, why can't we have a civil debate with others and if they believe the opposite, so be it?

Well here's a theory. One side, the trump supporting side, spouts ideals and viewpoints that in and of themselves are often racist, cruel to an entire group of people, and offensive. They might not say "fuck you dummy" but the things they say are more detrimental, imo, because the ideals are against humanity.
The other side, non trump supporters (or trump haters) get upset when trying to talk about specific facts and those are answered with misinformation and a smoke screen bringing up "well you lost, and you don't know how to wiki leaks like I do, and your "news" is all liberal biased media, I know the truth".
It's very hard to meet disrespect with anything but disrespect.

Ha! I was just talking about on here; but your point rings true. Trump is the ultimate internet troll because as the soon-to-be leader of America he's on the news constantly. I wish there was a real life ignore button; I could stand not to listen to him for the next 4 years.

The more you learn the less you know ...
Part of one of my favorite quotes.

This applies to every facet of society. Especially politics and science. Our world is very much gray and those that speak of things in any other light are the uninformed ones....every time

Sooo....

I don't think we have enough facts about much of anything to claim we are right and others are wron
This idea people like Aristotle and einstein repeated throughout history rings very true to this day.

In the end. The more you think you know the less you truly understand

All I have to say about the topic

Reported as obvious (sooooooo obvious) sock thread.

"So, hey guys, why can't we debate civilly without insulting each other? I mean, just because someone IS a racist hate monger/white power fanatic doesn't mean you have to INSULT them, right??"

Who cut you deep when you were here before?
