Too many tops?!?!?

I topped / fimmed one of my plants, I think a little too much. I have 14 tops on 1 three foot plant. I've been flowering for 3 weeks now and it hasn't developed nearly as much as the others. Did I screw up? Should I not have topped it so much? I'll have pics up tomorrow.

It will probably just take a bit longer. Your plants growth is stunted a little bit when topping.

how many times did you top?

he has 14 tops so im guessing 7 times but idk if my mathmatical strategy is correct on that one?

Nah, you can get anywhere from 4-8 colas from topping just once. and it can be any number between those two, so its really hard to tell sometimes.

yeah that's why i was thinking i was way off because you top once than again and again the numbers go crazy if i top ( i rarely do ) 2 times seems to by my limit

Yeah I normally top once, MAYBE twice.

lst is great as hell too. I always use it,its alot better than topping imo.

I would think 14 topps is a good thing..

@ break neck led's are going to be gone in 5 years anyway so why would we wan't a sub forum. if anything there should be a sub forum on why led's are for pussies, lolz
@ darkdestruction420 yeah lst or scrog is more effective in my opinion.

I topped mine once a couple weeks ago and I had 4, then I lst'd the 4 at top and now i have allot like the guy here stated only topped once and bent the rest down allowing light to the center. now I also will have too many but it will look awesome! is too many really a bad thing? That is like saying I have too much weed!!!! AAAAHHHHH! lol.

Thats my question.

i have reserves about fiming not that it doesn't work though i just don't do it.

pinching is even better you still get to keep the top cola and the bottom growth explodes!!!

are you speaking of supercropping or FIMming?

i don't think lime 37 knows what he is speaking of at all.

FIMing but just with my fingers I pinch the top new growth,and it stunts it ,and the bottom new growth will grow fast, It is just like fim tech, except using fingers.
May not know exact terminology but I do it and it works great! But hey maybe You are right!

Wow, thanks for all the comments, everybody! I topped three times, to answer that question, and it just exploded. I was really concerned that the plant would focus its energy on strictly supporting itself instead of budding out. I'm new to the indoor scene and haven't topped a plant more than once before this grow so I wasn't sure if I effed up hardcore or not. I expect to make mistakes, but it doesn't mean I like to lol

btw, I haven't forgotten the pics. They'll be up in a few hours, hopefully.
