Too many plants for a 4x8?

My first grow. I have 16 plants in 3 gallon smarts parts per 4x8 table. So 32 plants total. 8 week veg.

Each 4x8 table has a row of 6 4 6 for 16 plants. Does it look too crowded? Should I maybe take out the middle row or should I be fine?

I just flipped yesterday
Looks good to me I would defoliate a bunch in 2-3 weeks you will need the airflow

I'm 7 weeks into flowering in a 4x8 tent and while my plants were taller, my canopy was about the same density at flip, I might have had a little bit more tops but it got crazy crowded, I had to do I believe 3 heavy defoliations taking most every fan leaf that was fully developed each time I defoe'd. I didnt do a great job of lolypopping though which didnt help at all, but with all that being said I ended up having one plant die on me because of a plugged drip line and also had to take my biggest plant out too and now at 7 weeks it's as full as I'm comfortable to have it. I've got a shit ton of air movement in there but still crossing my fingers for no bud rot or anything as dense as it is in there. Also has caused the plants to not be filling out very deep into the canopy but I also am only running about 950w because of heat issues.
Thats just my experience with a heavily scrogged out 4x8. Itll help alot though not being confined by tent walls. I'd say lolypop real good with some defoliation and go for it. Keep us posted

Looks good always better to have a full canopy in a screen,

This describes my last grow to the T, except I have a few more watts in there. I defoliated like 80% of fan leaves and the buds are so densely packed that it is just a carpet of bud lol. There is no penetration to the lower branches at all. I will for sure do less plants next time. or less veg time at least. It's a nightmare controlling humidity now.

I feel its its slightly too crowded for such short plants, especially if its your first. If you had a foot or so of stick, with no branches or leafs, under that cannopy you would be golden for airflow.
If you wanna flower like that you will be fighting a very humid microclimate in the cannopy. Get plenty of airmovement, dehuey or AC to control the climate and most importantly control your light out temps, if you have a lot of swing between hot day and cold night youll get humidity and mold. Look up lolipopping, its your friend in a dense setup.

What strain and how much stretch are you expecting? Is there a head room issue and thats why theyre so short?
Would you be partial to raise your lights and scrog a bit, veg another week and let them grow some more legs and defoliate the bottoms?
Id also rec get some fans in there, some standing pushing air towards the walls in order to not beat up the plants too much. You also need a fan over the cannopy, moving from side to side to prevent heat build up.

Props on your plants though they look real happy, green stems almost everywhere. Youre doing well for first time. But dont underestimate the change from veg to flower.

Keep posting the pics and everyone will help you thru it.

Yeah I'm running around 50% rh during the day. I had to put a dehu into the tent for lights out though otherwise its 90% humidity so during lights out I have control, not enough amp space to run the dehu during the day so I've been lucky that I have okay rh levels. How high is your rh getting?

Not much to say other than nice job bud, beautiful garden, very clean and well kept. Maybe slightly crowded/or will be by flower. beautiful nonetheless

Best of luck moving forward.

It runs about 55% during the day. Like you, I can't run my dehumidifier when the lights are on due to amps. Sometimes on rainy days it goes to 62% and I start to worry but there is nothing I can do but throw another fan in there at canopy level. I have to run my dehumidifier at night too which for this grow is lights out.

If you can keep the mold off it, from the situation you described it will pay off. I defoliated near every fan leaf and had a carpet of basically just bud, and I just harvested a VERY large harvest. Way bigger than I expected.

That being said, next time I will scale back so I can lollipop better and keep buds spaced out nicer. It was way too much work for me with little space to move around and a lot of stress in late flower worrying about mold and airflow.
