too many lights?

No, as long as they're not creating too much heat inside a closed box. I've never heard of anyone complaining of CFL's "light bleaching" their plant.
 
cfls def aren't going to do any type of light bleaching... they're mad weak... but i use em =)
 
I use CFL's to veg with and I think they're great for that. But to get the big buds, I flower with 1000W HPS.

They're nice, but not as nice as these.:weed: Note the bailing wire in the pics that I had to use to hold them fat ass heavy trichome laden buds up. The fourth picture is the top cola on that plant. That bud alone was 20" long. That's the difference. You can't seriously be under the impression that CFL's will fatten your buds up the way a 1000W HPS light will? Or can you? Like I said, I use CFL's for veggin', but you can't beat the 1000W HPS for flowering.:peace:

never ever, the more the better! they shouldnt make much heat at all unless your getting bigger ones, so just make sure theyre not tooooo close if theres alot.

those plants are also alot bigger than his... for that matter why stop at 1000? whynot 1200? those buds look dank what strain is that? and how many weeks did it take?

That's exactly the point bro, with the HPS light, you can grow bigger plants and still get the light penetration needed to form those fat ass buds. Dig what I'm sayin'? It was WW, flowered for 9 weeks and gave me 9oz.(dry)She was a pleasure to be with.:hump:

not everyone has the space to grow that big... that's what your missing.. nice grow
