Too late to save?

The plant I have was started Mid october. I dont remember exactly the day or week. It is about 1 ft tall, healthy green looking, most of the fan leaves im seeing are 3-5 nodes. I'm not sure if its growing slow or not. The flowers have already appeared. Lots of them. I can see 1 or 2 buds with 2 white hairs coming out of them at the base of each fan leaf stem where a site chute has formed and now has many white hairs coming out of it. I thought that since I hadnt forced flowering, this would be a good time to switch to 12/12 lights. Its been about a week since I made the switch and I havent seen much subsequent growth. Although I have noticed crystals forming on some leaves, the plant is beginning to smell pretty good but I dont see very much vegetative growth. I'm worried that it is going to stay small and not have a great chance of producing enough vegetation to house the yield I was hoping for. Im using some MG organic soil, which I havent heard too many good things about since doing research. I mostly use normal water but every few days I add some fert/plant food. The plant is under two fluorescent generic plant lights. Is there something I'm doing wrong or am I just impatient?

I was thinking about repotting it in some different soil/flushing it with distilled water and easing into some new fert. Any suggestions on some nutes and fert that I could find at like Home Depot or somewhere similar?
