Too Early & Too Big, Need Advice

They tend to pout after a good trimming. Just water cause you let the plant bleed. When cutting, pruning, I always use cinnamon to seal the wound on stems approaching the size of a pencil or larger to prevent bleed out and introduction of diseases. Those plants are big enough to take more abuse than you dare inflict. And will fully recover before flower. I'm now topping my three larger plants evey other day and defoliating weekly on my larger plants. If you want quality over quantity, then remove all inferior branches and about half of your lower vegetation. You need to do it in steps with this heat and crazy sun intensity. A little at a time. We still have enough veg time out doors. Huge root mass. Less growth points+ BIGGER BUDS.

So it turns out I'm having incredible difficulty getting this nitrogen deficiency under control, I'm wondering should I be feeding every single day?,since I prune the bottom third of the leaves they're starting to eat from the fan leaves in the middle and higher up which has me really concerned, the other day I also added 30 ml a fish emulsion to the feed mix and the ppm's were testing at about 750 I think that's too low? Any help would be greatly appreciated20200707_093124.jpg

If your already digging holes why not grab a few bags of happy frog cut the fabric pots off with scissors and transplant into the happy frog or if your in Michigan and gcan get Michigan mix I think it's call m3 is supposed to be real good.

I honestly kinda forgot about my outside one I've been so busy. I'm gonna go check on it on way home now that I thought about it, but when I moved it to a new spot I put it in new spot with a bag of happy frog and some vermaculite so the soil would hold more water.

Also, is it fine to mix General Hydroponics Flora Series with Fish Emulsion and other organic fertilizers ?
Having come into this conversation way late I must ask your water source and if you ever flushed those pots? Fish should have helped in 3-4 days. Foliar spray about two. I'm beginning to think PH creep due to salt build up. Causing nute lock. Fox Farms has a nasty habit of doing it within 2 months. You can use fish with all nutes I have sen. Just PH and PPM before adding it. I found no negative effects not PH'ing it. And needed to use a ton more Phosphoric Acid than I liked. Leading to salt build ups and problems similar to yours. Do you vary your PH? I bounce between 5.8 and 6.2 in veg. 6.2 to 6.6 in flower. Nutrient uptake is PH specific. Variety broadens availability.
As far as soil goes. Fox products work. But they are over priced and problematic at best. Happy Frog being the worst. Sorry Apachan. And without bias I must say Dairy Doo products are superior and cheaper. I use D.D. 101 for seeds and cuttings. D.D. 201 for veg and 301 for flower. Just add coco-coire and a good fert before use. I use Coast of Maine Stonington Blend. From your neck of the woods. They also have GOOD compost. In ground I only need to top dress once at flower. In pots I get away with feeding every third watering in month two. And every other day in flower. Have not had a lock out since I began using it. I also add a few other things but they are just gilding the lilly so to speak.

I used to PH Down my water but found that I was having more issues with Nute lockout as I would typically PH down to 6.5 but my runoff has been just below 5 . That was when they were just in 3 Gallon pots so it was easy to do but now they are in 20 Gallons so a bit harder. I have never flushed them since transplant. Since I stopped phing the seemed much better so now they get water around the 7 range after nutes. I might just be freaking out a bit about the yellow leaves but have supplemented with the Fish emulsion last night and the foliar earlier that morning and need to give them some time to uptake. Every third watering you feed ? damn I'm like every other day I feel like in this heat wave

I would give the foliar a minute to work. I feed every third watering. I like to run 900-1000 PPM on most plants. Mature plants drop their lower leaves. And large mature plants drop a bunch. The leaf becomes a liability and not an asset after a certain point. It is normal. I remove the large fan leaves towards the bottoms when I see the first few showing signs of discoloration. Need to do it now. But 90 F'n + degrees here. Can't stand in the sun long enough to get it done.

20 gal pots will not be affected by burying. Or standing. I would just top. That's too much earth to move without equipment in this heat.

I'm just weirded out because the rest of the plant is healthy and I'm thinking its a nitrogen deficiency because if it was a lockout wouldn't other issues be showing up ?

I already topped them 5 times lol Would you suggest more?

I should also mention that one of my plants is doing better in terms on not yellowing, the only difference between that one and the others is that its more so in the shade, not sure if that makes a difference, appreciate the help BTW !

You are welcome. I f I can save just one plant and keep someone growing? I'm happy. You probably are over reacting a little. We always jump to the worst case scenario. Thank you corporate media.

Top until they begin to flower if getting too tall. They are likely to almost double in size when flowering. Just try to keep the tops even. I top a couple times a week lately. And I remove offshoots to minimize tops. Remember they double everytime. Your top will be too dense if not. Sterilize the scissors and you should be good. I am telling you these plants are beasts when it comes to taking abuse when established. My profile pic was massacred 3 times, starved, underwatered and given minimum light all winter. Was even mauled by my addict cat a couple times. No big deal. Give it what it needs and two weeks later you never knew.

This heat does stress them. But your pots are big enough that you are not cooking the roots. That should not be a problem. Had mine in 3 gal pots. Sun was killing them. Males I cut all had dead roots around the pot and the center mass was all that was healthy.

Wilting leaves all along the bottom ? Any idea why? I was giving them about 1 gallon of water a day thinking that may not be enough considering the are each in 20 gal pots , thoughts?

Can anyone let me know if Fabric Pots should be off the ground when grown outdoors?
Preference.... Im growing some on top of the ground right now, and some on top of plastic pallets... Some people even bury them halfway down... The roots grow through them if they are buried or not exposed to that air because they're not being pruned (the whole reason for fabric pots) So if you have good dirt surrounding and want the extra space for roots to grow, go for it. But theres no requirement one way or the other. I prefer just sitting them ontop of the bare ground, Ive noticed the plastic pallets stay wet on the bottom longer (wood pallets might absorb more... probably not a significant amount though) and I didnt put any gravel or any sort of drainage layer on the bottom so Ill see how those turn out... I believe the ones on the ground that I have dry quicker because the surrounding dirt, some of which is bare ground no grass/cover and dries really quick... is wicking the extra moisture from the pot into the dry dirt surrounding, Which helps because Im having issues with overwatering from tons of rain this year and not being able to let the pots dry out in between.

Dunphy is right. Pots on dirt, wood or concrete will dry faster. A plastic vapor barrier is suggested under 10 gallon and smaller. Your pots size requires no additional help though. Keep questioning everything. But don't over complicate things for your self. You will lose your mind if so.

We have an artic blast headed your way. Temps are dropping to the mid to upper 80's here. We are also sending you more rain. Been forming overhead and pouring 10 miles to my East. Maybe today. Hope all are doing well. Peace.

Girls are looking nice! One still is dealing with that N deficiency but I gave them all a good flush and fed them because I think the nitrogen was getting locked out by k, also some weird things are growing in my soil just on the top any idea what the hell this is and how to treat it if it's bad

That's a mushroom, fungus due to the high wood density of cover material. It is no big deai. But indicative of high humidity and early warning for mold. Easy on the water.
