Hi people, just having a bit of a problem with been too crowded in my grow room at the moment, any posts as to what the consequences may be if the plants are too crowded. I recently put them in to flower last week, they progress in growth something unreal but in an excellent way.I have ten plants alltogether 3 of which should be female as they are feminized seeds from herbies, the other 7 could be any sex,any strain.Still waithing to see what 1s are male to get shut of em,but if i hit lucky and they are all female then i was thinking of giving sum away just to provide more light to the rest of the plants,I dont wonna start trimming because i dont know what strees it will cause the plant,,any1 else know?????

So if you could post me back some repley's just to give me a bit of a haeds up i would be thankfull,do you think there will be enough room????have a look on my other post for the pics of my set-up,is trimming a good idea at flowering stage?????will been too crowded cause any bud rot or any other problems to look out for??????

Well, I think it goes without saying the most obvious consequence to overcrowding is reduced yield.

I trim mine a few strategical fan leaf removal at a time. In other words, don't go crazy, they need leaves to photosynthesize. At the same time, you can cut fairly freely without having too much of a consequence. As a general rule, the later I get into flowering, the less I alter my plant. You're still early enough you can cut some of the leaves to get some of your more promising bud-sites out of the shade. As they grow back, trim the same few places, keeping the most promising bud-sites in light through the duration of flowering, but keeping the majority of the leaves to ensure proper photosynthesis.
