Oh yeah 23w and one 32w,eight total85-90... what is the? you'll have to excuse me,I'm not up on the lingo..this is my first grow
85-90 is a bit hot, either back the lights up 4-8" or shut half of them down untill the plant gets a little bigger. Its showing some heat stressOh yeah 23w and one 32w,eight total
Ok will do.humidity is even,as far be as my thermometer says.. thanks85-90 is a bit hot, either back the lights up 4-8" or shut half of them down untill the plant gets a little bigger. Its showing some heat stress
Rh = relative humidity
Got it... thanksCFL's run with almost no heat given off and can be set as close as 1 to 2 inches from the foliage. In fact, any higher than that and you're not getting the most from CFL's. Just don't spritz your plant leaves as the drops of water on the leaves may act as little magnifying glasses and burn the leaves.
RollaJ, I fucks with you!!! I knew they were too close!!! It's just that I'm hearing so many different ways to do this shit and I'm a beginner at indoor growing so I pay attention to what the experienced people are saying... I'm going to slow down and take my time... thanks bro...Your leaves are doing more of a taco resemblance which is a sign of heat stress. Go for more of a praying effect. I wouldn't want that being my temperature running cfls. I'd shoot for noooo higher than 80-82f
Cfls do in fact give off plenty of heat. Especially running 20 plus hours at a time.
Do like Juvenile and back that thang up. Lol
I'd do 5 inches, with a 1 minute hand test. Even shoot for 2 mins.
Thanks man. Don't get me wrong it's good to have the light close, but it's better to keep a happy looking plant. Good job so far. Done far more than what I would of done my first time last year. I've only indoor 2 seasons to prep for outdoor. just got back into it after 8 years and have been doing indoor full cycles for the past year. I'm No expert. LolRollaJ, I fucks with you!!! Yeah but you know more than I do so I'mma be on you for some info from time to timeThanks man. Don't get me wrong it's good to have the light close, but it's better to keep a happy looking plant. When your plants recover from cupping due to heat, you should move those CFL's within two inches of the foliage. Put your hand 2 inches away from your CFL bulb and you will feel next to no heat at all. Any further away than 2 inches and you're not getting the most from your bulbs.Opened up the side vents and the temp dropped almost immediately!!! now in 75-82 range!!! and I moved the plant away from the light about 4-5 inches...
Going nowWhen your plants recover from cupping due to heat, you should move those CFL's within two inches of the foliage. Put your hand 2 inches away from your CFL bulb and you will feel next to no heat at all.
Please read this article on growing weed with CFL bulbs. You will learn a lot about the placement of CFL bulbs.

That was like 2-3weeks ago... I didn't want to give up on the two plants so I left them in the tent.one never came back,so I was going to toss em,then I noticed new leaves on the one in the picture...oh yeah, I changed the soil that they were in and I washed the roots, I don't know why, I just did it,and what you see is the end result of my rescue attempt!!! Not bad for a new guy!!!just for the record, @Frank Nitty was that one of the plants that got a little too much aquarium water? that cupping could be a little overfert?
