Too bushy?

Im new to growing and new to rollitup. I have topped my plants one time and lst the rest for new bud sites. Out of my 4 plants, this one is not stretching. The canopy is very tight and dense. I have only removed a handful of leaves from this plant. I am going to be putting on a scrog net this week. Should i expect a good stretch when i go in to flower? The seeds are gg4 from herbies. My light is a mars fce4800 at roughly 650 ppfd, 18" from canopy. Thanks for any imput.

Your plants look great.

You should consider flipping them soon.

Once you install a scrog net, you don't have much room available to to train the growth horizontally to fill the tent and level the canopy.

The amount of stretch varies wildly depending on the strain, ymmv.

I was planning to lollipop, throw the net on, adjust, then flip. Because of how dense the one plant is i didnt know if i should try to defoliate the canopy before i flipped.

Yeah expect a good stretch. You have a full cannapy so your ready to flip or your going to run out of room. And you're just going to be growing more that needs lolipopped off.

Ok. Should i lolipop now or during flower? I have a slight deficiency in 2 plants. Im getting them right and going to put the net on

If there is anything low on the stem not getting any light you could trim that. Once you flip into flower they will grow alot and you will want to lollipop into flower. If you lollipop too much now you will just slow down growth and cause stress.
I think your trellising too early but if they stretch alot you can always put another layer on.

I have my environment controlled so mold and mildew i dont think will be an issue. My main concern is that i cannot navigate though the cannopy to spot balls if they ever pop up. Next time i will shape much better before flipping to flower. I as well have multiple bud sites that could be opened up by removing some leaves. I tuck them currently but they pop back up.
