to top or not to top? that is the question

lets start debating here people. what are the benefits of topping? does topping actually increase yield? or is this simply done to control size? i have topped all of mine in the past and they obviously never grew too tall, so this year i decided to top some and leave some all natural. what are your opinions on the matter?

:joint: puff puff pass

one pic is topped, the other is not.

same here. bushy is nice but damn those 5 foot un-chopped ones are so beautiful.

I prefer super cropping, i have 16 heads rather than 1. topping can lead to different amount of heads but also stresses the plant a lot. super cropping strengthens the plant and makes stronger branches which tells the plant it can hold more bud. the diameter of the stem on my monster plant is 2 inches and it has several knots from kinking during super cropping. super cropping does lead to a longer veg state. super cropping and topping should never be done during flowering stage.

SUPER CROPPING ALL THE WAY!
