I was wondering if your a older grower before the internet was used by growers were you got your information from and what you knew and what you learnt after you starting learning off the internet.

I wouldnt know anything about growing if it wasnt for google and RIU haha.

I definitely wouldn't have started growing if it wasn't for RIU.

I spent a month reading here, and as of tonight, i have a running grow room :mr

there used to be these things waaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in the day before the time of the keyboard

...they were called books...we would read them, and magically our brains would absorb knowledge that we would then use

I'm 32 years old. Before I had internet and a computer, I learned how to grow from books and experimentation. Once I got a computer and internet, I learned a whole lot more though.

We used to learn from nature...
There used to be a time when you could plant a seed and it would grow and flower all on it's own without even attracting attention.

I'm a "young" grower, I've only been growing for like 4 years, but I just got onto RIU this year, and I only got the internet about 9 months ago, lol. I mean I had used it, I just didn't have it. Any way, I know some people don't like it, but I learned a hell of alot from Hightimes. They have had some very helpfull articles that have led me down the rd of growing.

Books and advice from growers who are better than you are is a big help.

I have been growing for 9 years and have only checked out RIU within the past couple months

Before the internet, there were actual books to read, lol. I have been growing since a wee baby, so most of it comes naturally. I have many friends who grow and have for many years. They came in handy when I had questions too.
But now there is RIU, and we are all better for it.:peace:

Before the internet, fuk,i can remember when there was no color tv,Back then we waited on the pony express for info.

Seriously though much of what i learned was from trial & error using proven methods of tomatoe growers, the two plants are very close in the way they are grown.

I read books, and I also had uncles that were growing since the 60's. I still have one of my uncle's grow journal's from 1974, he documented every grow they did. I even ran into someone on RIU that knew him.

I might not be growing if not for RIU. I think I found this site when I was searching for ways to dry a sack of chronic I bought that wasn't completely dry. Little did I know at the time that the person that I bought the bud from had been growin for a couple years and we ALMOST started growing together.
