To Flush or Not to Flush?

I'm currently about 1 week away from switching my plants to a flowering schedule, and am debating whether or not I need to flush them before starting the flowering nutes. I have not used any nutes at all during veg, mainly because my soil had a good mix and I'm only keeping them in veg for 6 weeks. These are indoor plants by the way.

So, do I need to flush once I switch to flowering, or is there no need to bother?

Thanks in advance!

by flushing .. do you mean just giving them plain water (ph'd of course) or flooding them with 3 or 5 times the water? , i dont flush with the latter unless i overfert my plants , i water with plain water a week before i go from veg to flower or before i harvest ... just depend on what "flushing" you mean ...

By flushing I meant the 3-5X water. I've heard from some other growers that flushing 3-5X when switching cycles is a good idea, but those are people who use veg nutes. It would make sense to me to flush in that case, but since I haven't used any nutes I'm guessing I don't need to do a full flush.

it doesnt in your case .. your right but i would think the nutes that were in your soil to begin with would be used up and you should start to feed them .. just my thoughts

I'm flushing between cycles right now in my hydro set up. I've been using organic nutrients, so it might not be necessary to flush, but it can't hurt to clear out your medium and get your girls ready for flowering nutrients. If you've been using chemical nutrients during veg flushing will help clear out any disolved salts and prevent toxicities later in flower. Good luck

Thanks all. If it wasn't only 1 more week in veg, I'd start feeding veg nutes. So far no signs of any deficiency, so hopefully that continues for the next week!
