To flush after phase 2 of flowering (2-4th week) and a ScrOG-related question

Hi dear RIU people,

I was today given a tip, and I'd like to know what you guys say about it. My friend who's had his grow during the first week now tenth or fifteenth grow in a row, told me to "flush on day 22 since you've got some sativa more than indica, otherwiese during the days 15-18 give or take, because when you then continue feeding it later, it "boosts both size of colas and potency in amount"".

Anyone have any input on that? Is is worth doing, despite risking rootsgetting raped? Should prolong the flowering a little obviously.

Question #2: I'm now at 21,5 days of flowering (now posting a Day 20 with pics) of my little lady Jackie, who's actually not that little, thankfully. I got a good net, that I could attach at some height I I'd want to. But what's the point at this stage? - I mean, it's quite far from the way I've used to take care of the bloom-period, but could it be of any advantage, if I'd put it up, and start trying to make a semi-screen-of-screen by tucking budsites to grow through those holes or is it just the same stuff only more complex to make work, compared to what I'm doing. I'm now removing yellowing leves (very few, ONLY at the bottom), and using string etc to stretch out the horizontal grow to more of a ""ScrOG without net -SOG"? LOL :p

Would I benefit from either of these actions. Thanks in advance,

Tomas

Depending on the time of year I flush monthly, flushing is an important element to growing weed(imo) plants see it as a rainstorm, we humans(me) see it as a serious hassle, the reason to flush, is to wash away all them excess nutes that are no longer required of the plant, since it has now moved on to the next stage of its life ....budding
thats the important flush for me, by then the rootball and soil are quiet compacted even hard, flushing allows it to soften some, and yes you get to wash out them veg nutes too.

avoid following 'advice' without drilling your buddy why? ...to question 1: ...hes stringing you along
Q2.. a pic is best here, some scrogs can easily get out of hand

that would depend on your definition of "flush", the problem is many people think a "flush" is where you add a chemical to supposedly help "clear" or "clean" your plants of acquired nutrients...
I write that in quotations because it's scientifically a stupid concept..
BUT if your definition is simply giving it pure water, then absolutely, it's something that should be done periodically.
The goal is to mimic mother nature, and sometimes.... it rains...
The plant does NOT need food everytime its getting water

I agree again with 'Grease' this commercialism of weed is seriously getting out of hand, adding a 'product' to supposedly remove something essential is silly,
what do you think 'we' have used for the last 10,0000 years of canna/hemp growing? ...water is good, water is life!

it's insanely ridiculous (and somewhat shameful) that they want you to think that you'll need 10 bottles of whatever-the-fuck, in order to grow cannabis.. sad thing is, the "organics" portion is fueling a lot of it as well...
bio this, and bio that, kelp extracts, fulvic/humic acids, etc.
But.. sorta sounds like i'm a cannabis-elitist.
But hey... if the shoe fits... i'll wear it.
It's simple, the homesteaders have had it dialed in for literally centuries.
It's just not hard... people make it that way.

With current legalization!...those who grew before the law are the cannabis-elite,

those who grow after the easing of the law ...non elite (imo) ...lol
