To Cut or Not To Cut, That Is Theuestion

ay whats good wit everybody? I am having a debate within myself to either cut ALL lower/mid fan leaves or not. Ive been looking around at different pics and noticed a lot of plants have very little, if any big fan leaves on it. The ones on my plant are so big that the branch that holds them are bent downwards from all the weight, not to mention they are all startin to brown somewhere on them. I was wondering if/when i cut all these big leaves would that send my plant (2.5-3ft tall x 2-2.5ft wide) into any kind of death shock or something? or should i even worry about it at all? i really wanna cut these as they are an eyesore on my lady and really seem to serve no purpose other than suckin up all the nutrients, water, light, and what nots from the rest of the her. I did read that they might be buffers for over feeding but i rarely feed as is and am not worried about such an issue. I honestly cant see any benefit from them as my stalk is already AA battery thick and probably doesnt need a lot of nutes til next veg. growth. jus lookin for a little insight, as usual all input is welcomed. whether its expert or novice, jus need some ideas to bounce around. good burning, peace.

The fan leaves are the powerhouses of the plant. They make it grow.

Does anyone walk around in nature and chop all the leaves off pre-flower? Nope.

Tuck the leaves into the main stem area and leave them.

I cut in moderation, usually if its a very large leaf and is covering a big enough bud site I'll take it off. I notice with my plants, there's usually 2 huge leaves near the top of the plant which cover the 2nd in command bud sites. I take those off all the time with no adverse effects as of now

during veg.... only. i take most of the big leaves to promote growth in the nodes. i do this a few times, makes many new bud sites. this is what I do. it is just something that i do. me. I, myself sometimes...

so i take it this is something that you do??? lol j/k I topped one of my bigger clones and cut the 1st two sets of fans from the top, the clone has the general shape of the eiffel tower now. i then clipped the brown spotted fans on the lower half of the mother, shes in flower. ill make note of this and apply to my next grow. should i worry about my mother, will the trimming put her back in terms of harvest date or is she pretty much still on course (planted around last week of april, plan to harvest end of july/beg. aug)??? its an indica? the outside species, tall very spacious. flower since last week of may.
