To clear the air about what happened in Barrie today at sunrise.

I've been getting a few emails and questions about what happened today in Barrie at our club.

Before the rumours get out of hand I figured I'd just set it straight.

A patient who uses prescription drugs and cannabis to control seizures was in our club getting his meds. He took his prescription drugs but did not have any cannabis from his LP available.
Before he could leave our club and medicate he had a seizure in our members area. 911 was called and the Barrie fire, paramedics and police were on scene in no time at all.

The member is ok and at the hospital in good condition.

Everything is fine the local authorities did a wonderfull job.

As we are right downtown there was a lot of speculation as to what happend, If this happens to come up in conversation you know the real story. I have had mutliple people speculate someone ate or took too much cannabis and couldn't let a rumour like that go unchecked.

Glad to hear the guy's okay. I've had a seizure in a public place...scary for the people who witnessed it and embarrassing as hell for me.

What's there stigma around mmj? More so your reasoning of opening shop..

Well it had been made very clear they don't want the downtown barrie turning into a Kensington market. I got lucky and set up first. I consider myself a test dummy for the city to see how the residents respond... My only fear is more try to open shop, not because of competition but because I know they will quickly out a stop to it and we'll all get shut down... The police are real cool.. City council, not so much

Where's the Hippy when you need him? Couldn't get his LP meds, had to go local and missed it by minutes......

I've been there with the LP's and the 'we are out', 'we are closed' & 'it's in the mail' situations. All BS!
