omg, thanks everyone for the love, man, i haven't checked this in awhile, but i feel ya. we are taking babysitting turns, my mom is totally supportive of my aspirations and gardening skills. otherwise i bring the bigger ones inside... i'm getting a workout every day. we also made a huge funky pile of distraction at the gate, and the other only navigatible spot in the yard. no guns yet, i know i don't want to go down that path... my attorney sis, said you can't use deadly force to secure property... so lame...
now i have some green caterpillar in my bud, should i harvest early??? HELP again

peace and i hope everyone is loving their outdoor plethora and lovliness as much as i am : ))) my plants are beautiful, not as fat as that first plant but oh well, here is the stock they left me... before and after... ouch

Hows it going? Any peeping toms watching your garden? How much longer till harvest? Give us an overview of your defense system after all the suggestions? Are you really on a 24 hr watch?

A woman I knew a while back had a burglar crawling on her roof, it collapsed and he fell through, breaking some bones...HER insurance had to cover his injuries and he probably just got a slap on the hand for trespassing)
No way, you just heard that in the movie, Liar, Liar.

turns out i gave them to a good friend out in the country to put in his garden. i swear it was the kid who was "helping" me. he never called me back after the day i called and told him it happened. guilty : ((
anyway, i'll upload pics when i harvest.
i hope everyone else doing outdoor is having great luck. thanks kaiser, i do believe the woman was responsible. basically anything on your property is your responsibility. my sis the attorney confirmed it, unless they are trying to kill you. so lame.
i do have my shot gun with the bean bag pellets just incase they show up and are pissed that i took them away. haha
i go visit them and give them love a couple of times a week. none are as beautiful as that first one.

Coming from a former robber I can tell you this. They will be back at the same time as before and there most likely watching and listening to whether it is ready. What can you do to them you say? ANYTHING GOES! There on your property I would torture but hey that's just me.

Liar, Liar? Wtf I've never even seen that...Why don't you take your 10 posts and shove them up your ass? I know the woman who it happened to in REAL LIFE
A trespasser does not have the same rights as an invitee. If we are talking about the US, it doesn't matter what state you are in, the scenario you described is IMPOSSIBLE.

I've only been around for ten posts, yet I am already disgusted by the amount of bad information that is proliferated throughout this site.

Yea there is a lot of bad info on here. It's because people can never answer then it's hijacked and shit too.

It's good that you moved them. Too many people knew about them and, since you grow outdoors, someone was bound to make a run for them eventually.

At least they didn't get to them when the majority were ready.

As for the falling burglar, Liar Liar picked it up from an old example used to promote tort reform and eliminate stupid lawsuits.
The case is Bodine vs. Enterprise.
Here's one of the links: http://www.lawslore.info/child_18.html

The pesticide sign is a neat idea, but not a real deterrent for a thief. If they want to steal them, they're just going to steal them and sell it all instead of keeping some and selling the rest. I wouldn't expect a thief to be overly concerned about the welfare of their customers.

As for using a weapon, the Castle Defense likely doesn't apply to yards in most locales. So unless the person is in your home, don't lay the hurt on them. At least not on your property :)

My dad had someone stealing his books out of his office, so he put a $15 webcam up on a book shelf, laying on its side as to make it look like it was not in use. There is motion activated software you can buy and even download free, that will record on a loop for as long as you want (or as much space as you have on your computer). Go to bestbuy or a computer store and ask them about this if ur having trouble finding it cheaply online. His webcam actually came with a 24hour loop software CD. You don't even need motion activated camera, you could also just get the 24hour loop software and record constantly to ur hard drive. If something comes up missing, stop the recorder loop so it doesnt record over the theft and look back at the last 24hours. I'm sure you could buy it for cheap, run a line to your computer and catch the bastards red-handed. The next time the guy broke into his office he had his face on camera and thats how the police caught him. The webcam through your desktop/laptop would be the cheapest way. If i were you I wouldnt want to just deter the crooks with a camera, i would want them to not even notice it so that I could catch'em! Hate to say it but its probly one of ur 'friends' who did it, or someone they told. Lesson #1, dont tell anyone that u grow.

Oh man, I feel bad for you. If it were me, I would wait with a paintball gun. If I knew who it was, I'd go to their house and egg it!

set a tent setup close to the plants and also set some traps up around it like rose bushes and other things to leave marks on people. also i think you should put fresh dirt around it do and rake it so you can get fresh footprints if you think some of your friends now about it.
