Pause, rewind and record live tv shows. You can even plan ahead of time with the "pick programs to record" section and search for the program to record.
The season passes are great. The tivo automatically knows to start recording every program you want. You can even pick out the re-runs.
I've had it for 3 years, and I can;t imagine tv without it now...
