Tiresias Mist questions

I was given their 1oz small bottle (only size?) as a sample. For some reason when I got it I was under the impression that all I had to do was isolate a branch and spray it and it would produce seeds at harvest. Clearly I'm wrong, I know that. But the reason for this post is to double assure myself of what really needs to be done, so I'll go ahead and post what needs to happen in order and I would appreciate your guys corrections or tips.

So I isolate a branch, cover all of plant besides selected area.
I spray 14-21 days once flower/bloom has been induced.
Few weeks later is when pollen sacks begin to form.
I collect pollen using a pollen collection method and store in fridge/freezer.
(after this is where I'm uninformed, confused.)
Now with this stored pollen, I select a breed I want to cross with, or same breed (Can it be the same plant I treated with mist?)
Once selected, I use brush or qtip to pollinate female flowers that are half way through flowering.
Harvest comes and it produces seeds.

Am I missing something? Or are any of the steps wrong?
Your input is appreciated.
Thanks,
morph

Pick a branch with as new growth as possible.....don't waste on leaves. I just got my bottle via Ebay, it had black tape around the neck..is that what your bottle had? The reason I opened it is that it will be more effective to brush it on. They tell you to only get on area that you want to produce pollen and no more...then they put it in a spray bottle. Just make sure that your putting it on an area that hasn't "wooded up"..nice soft bendable stem is best. So to keep that stem soft don't let a fan blow directly on it. I suggest that practice with a male plant would be good because it takes a while to come up with an effective collection method.. I ended up using mylar to collect mine and the pollen still stuck to no end. A good magnifying/loop with a led is a must because after a while you will be able to ID the sacks that are about to open in next 24 hours. To isolate a given branch just use twisty ties to pull branches from your target branch because covering the other branches for the 20 days it takes for this stuff to work is not an option. I have read where this stuff will produce sacks with no pollen in them, all depends upon what strain you have...which may be the reason why some strains don't have female seeds.

the instructions are unclear. it says to spray on a branch... on a branch or on the future buds on a branch? i would assume the latter but don't want to waste this stuff. any tips on use? anyone still around? j

I have used it successfully 5 times. The easiest way to use it is to spray a full plant. If I am trying to make seeds, i take 2 (or more) clones from the mother plant. Choose one clone to spray. It is difficult trying to self a plant.

While in veg, spray the clone once a day for 7 days. Then flip to 12/12 and continue spraying once a day for 10 days. It may not seem like it, but there is enough in the 1 oz bottle.

At this point, I seperate the Tiresias mist treated clone, and put it into a seperate grow area so as not to contaminate your grow room with pollen.

Once your plant starts producing pollen, i collect it into a cup. I then choose a couple branches of the other clone, and using a small paint brush or q-tip, I gently brush the pollen onto the pistills.
