i looked up a bit and i think i can afford one of these guys. problem is, i'm not sure if i can fit that thing in that closet. how big are these things?

if space is really an issue,HTG SUPPLY sells reflectors with built in ballast

space is not really an issue. the issue is, i don't know how big are these hps lamp sets, so im not sure i can fit one in
and i dont know if i can hook it up with chains and everything cuz technically that closet isn't mine, it's the house's owner's, so i can't harm the closet. .)
so how big is this thing mate?

just read it man, thanks. the thing is: this is my closet-->

as you see a bulb is hanging at the end of a cable. that's the only way for me to give those plants light from the top. cuz i cant pierce the closet .) so i can't figure out how to hang that hps bulb set there.

well you would need to cut holes for ventilation, maybe you could check out the CFL grows on here, they seem to hold their own.

you could grow but would take a very very long time and have a very poor yield, not worth it! invest in some good lighting, i have 3 x 300w cfls, 1 x 145w cfl and 1 x 45w cfl for 6 plants, plenty of power decent results upto now.
invest £60 into some lighting, you will soon gain that back if you plan a few grows, its worth it!
