Hello to all! dumbthumb here, I have my 2nd outdoor grow going, link is in my sig. I searched the site, and didn't find a thing on this subject. Being a little on the old school side of the fence, I'd like to ask the forum if anyone might have some insight as to the art of digitally photograghing of MJ plants, and buds.

Most of my shots, in particular, close-ups, tend to have the wrong things in focus. My camera is a little sony cybershot S950.

All insight appreciated.....sorry, like my moniker....a little digital dumbthumb here!

Macro settings are designed for close up shots. Also, most digital cameras have an automatic white balance setting you should be using to get the right color. I find that setting to Macro (or better, digital macro) and then using the zoom to 3x gives some really fantastic photos with the Auto ISO setting as well.

as mentioned, if you have a macro settings, that is the key. Also don't be afraid to get the camera right up there.

actually, it's the slighly backed off shot, not the closest of the close that's the issue. toying around a bit earlier...using a flash up close=too bright. so i backed off, zoomed in, left the flash on, and got better results, more depth of field that way.
