tip for sticky fingers after breaking up weed

any of you have a problem with your fingers being so stick that your fingers keep getting stuck to the papers making it difficult to roll? here's a tip i've been using for a couple years now that a friend told me about. after you break up the weed, just brush your hands through your hair a couple times like your trying to get sand out of your hair and there you go, no more sticky fingers.

warning : this does not work so well while your trimming. lol
wash hands with dish soap and COLD water

wow.. so here is the real answer : coconut oil, use coconut oil like go-jo then dish soap and rinse off. good for your skin, smells nice and removes the stick like a charm! kinda pointless if your breaking up to roll a J but if your trimming, it the bomb. (second to latex gloves)

the cold wter trick does work tho because it does cause the shit to kind of paste off your hands.

I'd use a glass bottle and some scissors if you don't have grinder, if this is a long term solution make sure the scissor tip is blunt otherwise it could put glass fragments in your weed when you go crazy chop chop haha!

If you gotta crush it up with fingers I'd recommend crushing it in paper if it's dry enough then you don't lose the goodies. I'm a vaper so I rarely get sticky fingazzzz!!!

Just keep some isopropyl alcohol nearby. I use that and a paper towel to clean my scissors.

the alcohol will break down the resin and evaporate pretty quick.

the other day I was trimming some big branches and my fingers had so much resin on them i literally took a lighter and could burn the resin on my fingers and smoke it :P

alcohol is the answer. i always have a box of alcohol pads on hand for quick jobs like cleaning weed goo off my hands or wiping down a glass peice. easier than fussing with the liquid, but i have a giant jug of 93% for big jobs like cleaning the bong and stem and shit. the pads are real good for scrubbing fingers though.

I use a small jar of isopropyl 91%. I dunk my fingers in it while trimming, then top off the alcohol when it gets low. When it's pretty well saturated with trichomes, I pour it into a glass pie pan and let it evaporate. Fine hash.

I used something called "Sticky Bye Bye". It's a citrus, salts, oil mixture that works like a charm.

does that work with trimming? :D cuz everytime i trim, when im out of gloves, i cant get the stickiness to go away no matter how long i wash my hands. lol
The Vegetable oil is what I use when trimming. Just rub it around real good and dish soap it off. Scissors as well, AFTER I scrape 'em really well with a razor blade. The Coconut oil sounds like it would work well also. I gotta try that.

I rub my hands and fingers together to "roll" up the hash on them, then scrape the scissors with a single edged razor to clean them before I wash 'em.

You must have had awful acetone, or something mislabeled. Acetone is an absolute resin piranha.
For hands, the oil thing works a treat ime. cn

maybe the tar (that some of you call resin) left in a pipe after smokeing, but fresh resin off a plant, no way.

alcohol is a non-polar solvent, acetone is a polar solvent.
I have high quality anhydrous acetone, it still leaves my hands sticky, alcohol just melts the crap out of it.

I am splitting hairs here, but acetone, while a fairly polar solvent, is less so than the shorter alcohols, like methanol, ethanol, the propanols. Alcohols are quite polar.
I've had good luck removing resin with alcohols, acetone and various hydrocarbons.
ANC, after a solvent wipe, have you tried a vegetable oil? Works a treat ime. cncn
