hi

its me again

i have just knowtised that one of my plants appears to have patch of yellow dots also brown ones on another leaf they are pretty central.

also 2 of my others the lower leaves are yellowing and one has a browning top i have been giving them a small amount of a well balanced feed containing all trace elements to make sure im not missing anything and i have been feeding on nitrogen and baby bio other than that

i cant see how i could have underfed them on anything unless something is locked up i possibly need to bring the ph of the soil down with some lime any suggestions on how much to add. also they are only in medium sized pots could this cause yellowing of the leaves and browing of the head any help would be appreciated.

thanks a lot

If they are tiny dots then it is prolly spider mites. Look real close at the leaves and see if you can see any tiny tiny red or black bugs. They usually start to make webs too. You might be better off removing the damaged leaves. Dont go crazy with it. Just take off what needs to come off.

After looking at the pic I think you should flush or its too close to the light. When you put your hand there does it get hot?

Pictures are worth more then words. I was thinking Calcium deficiency until you said they were not in flower yet. But then you said something about September.. That threw me big time, I thought,, oh,, out door grow,, Hmmmmmm. It is the end of December...

WOW!!! My bad.... When I clicked on the first page of the thread it took me to the last post, and I thought that was the first post.. DAhhhhhh. Still are you useing R/O water???? Also I could not find a picture.. But even then. the only syptom that I know of that has little spots is Calcium defieciency.. But then again I suck at being a Plant Doctor. My last crop was 8 plants started, 7 were male, the female for some reason would not fully mature. That WITCH grew to almost 7 feet tall, 3 foot in diameter, and full and bushy,, looked very healthy also.. But the buds were light fluffy and mostly stems. The buds were as big as my arms until I started to manicure them. I finally came to the conclusion that is was just the gene in that one plant,, and I am sticking to it... HAHAHHAHAHA...

Would like to see a picture of your plants though.

hmmm i would initially agree with widowmaker, i have had tiny spots in the past but caused by pests (spider mites and/or aphids) but if the head leaves are turning brown and crispy? i would immediately think they are too close to the light. a yellowing of the older leaves can be caused by either: 1)a shortage of nitrogen 2)pH factor is too low(acidic) 3) iron deficiency 4)pot defic. especially if you also get a grayish brown spots... on the edges of the leaves. 5)magnesium defic. if their is a yelowing around the veins at first then spreads out to the edges.. if the tips of the newer leaves are turning brown it could be a simple matter of drainage and/or over watering, but i am sure this won't be an issue for you, being a more experienced grower.. good luck!

one other thing to be aware/mindful of is fungus and spots/moulds... there are various forms of mould and growth that form spots on the leaves etc.. e.g. leaf spot, elsinoe spot, black spot to name just a few.. might be a good idea to purchase a good organic spot and mould-fungicide. also good for flower blight, rust, septoria, blights (both early and late) and downy mildew... good luck :)

I have got little yellow spots and the leaves are loosing colour. I have attached photos so people can take a look. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I was wondering if its a nutrients problem, or if it is an insect problem. There are little black bugs, but not sure if there are enough to be causing that much damage. please help.

Old post but MY GOD princess... you have webs all over your plant and only now consider that there may be something wrong with the plant because half of it's turned white from the pests? God, I hope that plant didn't make it all the way through flower. Someone that takes that long to notice a problem and has no idea what those webs are probably smoked the buds and called it "White Widow"... just not the kind of spidery marijuana people really want to smoke.
