Click to expand... Yeah it will still work. Just leave the lamp switch on and the timer will take care of everything. They are relativity cheap too. I got a digital one at my local hardware store for 20 bucks.

txhomegrown Well-Known Member Jul 11, 2009 #9 I pay less than five bucks for the timers I use. I get them at walmart. I run a 1000 watt HPS off one of them and a 430 watt HPS off the other one.
