Time to renew - my "chronic pain" is gone

I got my card based on a knee injury and "chronic pain". I did injure my knee, and it was messed up for awhile, but it's better now. I never even legitimately needed it under the guidelines of the law, it was just an excuse I could use because I want to be legal.

So how should I play it at the doctors? Say it's gone, but marijuana is still helping other aspects of my health? Or stick with the knee pain claim as an excuse?

I feel inclined to lie and say it acts up from time to time and the marijuana helps with pain.

I would lie to them and continue. I would continue to lie until I had real pain.

Yea dude I really dont think it will be hard for you to renew. As embarrassing as it is to say I used to doctor shop vicodin multiple times a week and multiple doctors. I have legit back issues but I was getting close to 1000 norcos per month and flipping them for $5 per pill.

Point is, really should not be all that hard for you to get your card.

Good news for me is the mj completely eliminated my need for vicodin that shit is poison once u get hooked.

But he needs the benefits of not spending time in the pen for smoking grass.

Anyway, who knows when that pain will come back? Some rainy day will be a real bitch without weed.

No. My use is definitely recreational and not medical. I need the card in order to stay legal though.
and you understand that this is a benefit for people with real problems and it is meant to be a solution for pain not as a way to stay legally high?

I dont know whether to praise you for your honesty or E-kick you in the nuts for scamming the system.
Honesty wins

Take this for what you will but it's at a minimum food for thought as it relates to this thread...

During the alcohol prohibition era when spirits and most alcohols became illegal to sell, you no longer went to the local grocery store for your liquor; you simply went to your doctor and complained of 'anxiety, insomnia, or pain' and with a wink and a nod + a hefty surcharge, you got your prescription for a pint of whiskey to be filled at your local pharmacy.

I wouldn't look back and hold any contempt for either the doctor or the so called patient for the greasy nature of these transactions; I look back and hold contempt for the government responsible that created the necessity for such a transaction to take place to begin with.

I say do what you have to do.

Maybe I'm just stoned but I think that's a relevant analogy.....I have been drinking a bit though too so my judgement may be off. TGIF eh...

marijuana is following the same path as alcohol did as JNBY said
and Michigan is followign California as far as growing pains, 4 years and we will be outside like everyone else.
8-12 years and it will be legalized and 15 years it will be decriminalized.
16 years from now will be world peace.

hic, I think you just opened the floodgates for a whole new line of business lol :)
I can already see the marketing campaign...."2 busted kneecaps for the price of one all day every day - ONLY at hic's house of chronic pain"!

There is nothing more I could give a man more then his freedom. I will do it for free but I am going to have to have some sort of liability insurance and I know they will try to rape me on the premium for that line of work.

I don't know what the laws are there, but here when I got my card for bad migraines because of a brain aneurysm I asked him what about in a year when I have to renew if the meds help me than in theory I will not be in pain because of it anymore. I told him I do not want to have to lie to get my card back. The guy than told me to just say that you do not suffer from the migraines because the meds helped, and I could renew because that was what was helping me. If that makes any sense.
