Time to feed?

Hey All,

Below I attached two pictures of my Auto Blueberry. She was doing great and starting to flower, but earlier this week I noticed considerable yellowing of the mature fan leaves. She is still very healthy from what I can see. At first I thought maybe I was overwatering her but the media is drying nicely between waterings. She is about 8" tall and four weeks old. The grow media is Miracle gro expand 'n' grow. I have plenty of drainage, run off is good. Should I feed her? From what Ive read I should start to feed her in the fourth week. Is she using her stored energy to produce flowers? Ive grown many photo plants with great success, but Im new to autos. Could it be PH or Cal-Mag defiency? My water supply is spring water. She is under 150 watts of 6500k CFL's (also 26 watts on the sides) lighting is 18/6. Temperature is 80 in the day 60 at night humidity about 25%.

Any help would be greatly appreciated from you auto pros.

Did you know that if you use semen on your plants right before budding it increases their resistance.

surprised you have trouble with Miracl-Gro, its supposed to be the tip top of growing soil, many threads about it.

the way those leaves are drooping and turning colors, you are gonna have big problems soon, thats my .02

Looks like a calcium def, to me. But I am no expert. Check pictures out through out the web. Just google pictures of sick MJ plants!

its causing a manual lockout of nutrients
PH very well might be off .... locking out calcium and in turn locking out magnesium ( since the mag intake is directly influenced by the calcium intake)
the media you are using is the " Scotts expand and grow with miracle grow nutes " ?
i would advise against using these seeing how they hold " 33% more water " and it would be very easy to over water in a CFL grow seeing how they are low heat grows usually

leaves are " clawing " which can mean a N tox or ..... overwatering
i would just pick the pot up and feel how heavy it is and not water until it feels really light

Over watering I had the same problem , let it dry out .

i was gonna see if anyone mentioned the algae growing on top if the soil
this is a good sign of it being too wet

that and for the most part stumpy auto's ( or plants in general ) means that the soil was to compact or the soil never dried up enough to make the roots spread to search for moisture

whats above the dirt is a good reflection of whats going on below it


its a learning curve we've all been there
let it dry up and it will prolly straighten out but its not getting much bigger to be honest

Yeah, over watering was the issue, she was beyond repair so I moved on with a new seedling, a Northern Light Auto. She's doing great, ten days old now. I should of used a cheap seed to tweek my drip system. Oh well live and learn!

MG can't be over watered they use a proprietary pH buffer that raises the pH as it drys.
