Time of Chop

Does the time matter when I take the plant down? right now I am planning on taking the plant down at noon saturday, this will be 6 hours into its night cycle, for no reason other than that is when I have time to do it. Should I wait till "day"? And should I stop watering it before hand at all? right now its on an ebb and flow and is rooted in rockwool, and is watered about every 4 hours at nights, 3 hours during the day.

When you have time is the right time. It takes me about 2 days to harvest so I don't change my water or lights. I wake up and start. Lights come on and keep going. Lights go off still cutting. System floods keep cutting. And there is no difference in the buds.

A lot of growers including myself wait till the last hour of their dark cycle. Plants dont take up nutes when lights are off, thus meaning it has less in the plant. W/e works for your schedule tho! Happy harvest!

If your in flush there shouldn't be much if any nutes so uptake would be water and that would add to a longer dry. So it's a win IMO.

I switched to water only Tuesday night, and chopping takes place on Saturday. by flushing to, I mean watering normally, at normal times, with normal amounts.

Just use regular water with no nutes the last days. You might wanna wait a couple more days, or your final product might have a chemical taste. Just use regular water with no nutes.

4 days of pure water should be enough right?

I cant say for sure, I always flushed at least a week prior. If you do decide to chop saturday, pm me or let us know how it burns. If you burn it, and it has a grey ash, your flush was good. If your ash turns black, it was not flushed properly. I would give it a week or 2, so it can cure right, and then burn it to see the ash color. I hope it goes well!
