Timber vs. Fluence spydr x plus.Input please!

Im new to LED, therefore not very knowledgeable. For the price point, which light is a better bang for my buck...

What does ur gut tell you Timber cough'

I would look around find people using each light & see what kind of results they're getting then maybe look at similar lights & the components that make them work I'm leaning towards the timber because I see more people using them I'm sure if you look hard enough someone gotta be using the spyder light right???

Hmm! I'd allways rather support a small, independent producer than a big, commercial one...
Far better support for sure and way easier to upgrade to a better COB series in a few years.
I am not sure if you will get better stripes for the SpyderX in a few years ..?

Out of your two choices I'd go with Timber hands down.

Ok, I'd say timber but I'd also say just get Quantum Boards lights. To me that's where it's all headed for probably the next year or so, if not for much longer.

what? bml always used mw in the spydr..........before fluence flip, went cheap?hard to believe at the price point

Yeah that's what was being discussed on tricky ds show. Growmau5 can confirm. I can't speak first hand but I've heard of a few landing doa recently.

I have an original BML SPYDR 600 with diode spectrum collaboration with Nick (mixing blues, reds and CW/NW/WW diodes) and have several Amare CoB hybrids, which combine CoBs and monos

In my mind the 600 provides a more homogeneous canopy, BUT, while the design was/is vg, the execution left a lot be desired in the BML version. I have no idea whether this was resolved in the Fluence line, as they look identical. One benefit is that each bar is separate (or was) and can be unplugged during veg so as not to waste electricity, then plugged in for bloom

I've never used one, but, I would look to a couple HLGs for more flexibility

I like bothe but if I had to choose it would be the SpyderXPlus. Been wanting it since it was BML & it's only gotten better from what I see.
No matter what drivers they use, theyve been ahead of production models in efficiency since day one.
Whst I really like though is the enhanced spectrum & coverage it offers, & that it's IP-67 rated I'm pretty sure or at least able to get wet. That's something that bothers me about my cob lights. We should be able to spray when needed w/o worrying about our fixtures.
They sell the Spyder @ a few local grow shops near me & the customers have been reporting back very happy w/ them.

3 Amare Pro3s would be a great choice

2 parallel to one side and one perpendicular on the opposite

25% discount puts them in range

Of course the next light mega would be cool to. I don't understand 900watts in a 5x5.

, Amare was the first comp. to use quality cobs n drivers, as well as implementing select colors & 65k top bin Cree diodes, plus a UV bulb. He knows what's up w/ Cobs.
But yeah, cobs & QB's do Rock!
