Use any brand power head you want. These are the heads that are for the old style aquarium filtration...they sit on clear tubes in each corner..?...got a knob to adjust oxygen..?..you get it.
I use 300 gal an hour ones, less than $30 each.
They create no heat. They create extra fine bubbles that even the finest stones cant do without massive pumps.
They can lay down in even shallow res's...my 3 sit in about 3 inches of water..on their sides of course.
The only thing to keep in mind is for deep water apps you will need a longer piece of 1/4" line to feed O2 into the jet.
Has anyone else suggested this?....This works so much better than stones guys...
Could be cheaper? I dunno, I am about to rip out my entire garden because I am paranoid today
