Fuckin Roots Organic, I ignored all the warnings from other members on here including subcool. It has came back to bite me in the ass. I have thrips. So how do I get rid of them?

Diatomeacious Earth mixed in the soil (and sprinkled on top heavily). Then a spray for the leaves. Thrips tend to come out around mid day - late afternoon.

Yep. Fuck Roots.
What a disappointing fucked up industry. Half of everything mj is just bullshit garbage. What a job for patients and caregivers to sort out the bullshit products, and people. The list is very very long.

Your damn right it's bullshit! I see newbies spending lots of money on these way overpriced products that promise magic increases in yield when they could get a better yield just by getting the freaking basics on lock. And if you can find the same thing in a non marijuana oriented gardening supply store it usually costs much less. Some people in the industry are taking advantage of new growers who don't have it all figured out yet.

Thank for all your input..

I'm switching soils, prolly back to pro mix or a local mix my buddy at a local nursery is mixing up since he does truck loads for 20$

I was at grow shop in Esky last weekend. Dude talked me into bag of cheap shit. Said it's as good as pro-mix. Said that's what they use. Pallet is much much cheaper. Never really excited about using cheap, knock-of shit. I will go take pic and see if anyone has used it.

In my experience thrips are easy to kill, just about any pesticide seems to work.

Yellow sticky traps are your new best friend!

I get thrips in my house every summer, nothing I can seem to do to stop them but I have found something that stops them from getting into my garden. I cut yellow sticky traps into 1/4's then put them in the window sills of every window in my entire house. Even though I never see thrips anywhere in my house I still manage to collect hundreds of them in the sticky traps in my window sills and they haven't made it down to my garden in years. The yellow sticky traps also manage to catch any fungus gnats that may be flying around as well as house flies and others bugs that snuck in, they're great preventive maintenance.

i always use roots hundreds of gallons and not seen a thrip in over a year. just use neem oil, and start using it as a preventive start spraying it in veg, get some lady bugs to there like 10 bucks for 1500

now that I notice that its only 3 cubic feet that's a rip off. A local store in my town sells their own potting mix for 10.99 and its 2.5 cubic feet. I've been using it with happy results. Yes they typically run out of nutes but so does ffof from what I hear
