My water pump came with that piece and I was wondering what it was for, thanks. Looks easy, I might see which is more effective (and silent)... flooming straight up or horizontal venturi.

It has been 2 and a half weeks since I last adjusted ph or did anything with the plants. Well, I did a little super cropping but that doesn't count. The ph is still 5.8, the ppm has gone from 450 to 440, and they have used a little over 20 gallons of water. The canopy is full and I will be taking clones tonight which I will veg into mothers and select keepers after this run. Putting up the scrog net tonight and prob wait until Wed then 12/12. Wish I could post some pics but my girl chewed my ass for the last one... pretty much looks the same except with bigger plants

Not IMHO.
I used to have ponytail roots, seems the cause was water line too low, causing roots to hunt for water.
What diameter are the net pots? If small (~3") you can run into plants tipping once they mature and bud. I found an inexpensive solution for that.
Having tried every hydro from lpa, hpa, bubble (I do use it for clones/seedlings), I found watering from top the best, but media needs to be fast draining.
I developed a hybrid grow system based on HydroHalo Drip Rings + Air Pots + polished river rock + lava rock. Come by my thread, been cutting branches off daily.
I bought this cube kit from Bed Bath and Beyond. The bars are flimsy, need to be replaced with wood dowels

I use 2" net pots... they will be supported in a scrog. I don't know what you mean by pony tail roots. They hang down and float around in the water. When I lift the lid the roots hang out of the water as expected. Once they get longer they start to tangle up and form a ball... this is normal in dwc. I have heard low waterline will make the roots rope up which makes sense.
I don't think I am going to mess with the sprayers like I had mentioned.

I used to use 2" net pots, and always had same roots as you - long thin roots, aka Pony Tail
I now use ~4" net pots, which provides a wider base for roots to exit. This anchors the plant better and IMO makes for a hardier plant base
I use a 35 lpm 4 air-stone pump system to super oxygenate the liquid/surface
Early on I lightly trim the bottom roots, which forces more to develop. Now roots look like baseball/softball

I dont need larger net pots or a wider base because the plants will be supported in a scrog. I have tried different sized baskets with rockwool and hydroton and larger net pots means the roots take longer to reach the water and just slows things down. No offense but those are some tiny root balls.

No offense taken, but we're not growing roots, we're growing plants. I have had huge root masses when I had my HPA cranking, but contrary to popular belief (which was mine at that time,too) the plants were no bigger than what I grow now. If you look at my last grow, I posted a pic of a ~5ft plant with ~ a softball size root mass.

Don't care doer, you failed and gave up at dwc so your input is invalid; only roots you know how to grow are slimy and brown.
These pre-flowered, starting alternating nodes, and have been in 12/12 stretch for a week, all fems, all showing pistils except 1 or 2. I'm using DG Grow and going to have to hit them with cal next res change. Running two 400w lamps, a MH and HPS to slow stretch; once they get little pistil puff balls in a week or so, then switching to dual HPS. Last couple weeks of ripening will be back to mh/hps. I raised the lights for this picture.
Need to top up, but waiting until Sun when I change the res to bloom feed.

Your lighting game plan seems logical, but I've never seen/heard of anyone doing it. Have you had success with slowing stretch or decreasing it? It seems like it would be a great way to keep the space down between nodes giving you some fat buds. I ran MH and HPS during flower on my last/first grow but was thinking about going all HPS for flower next time.

Those look good and healthy and I see you are doing the SCROG. Good for you and ignore the people dogging on you as you seem to be doing just fine. My only pointer would be to start tying those down on the screen, more shoots later.

Bro, just keep doing your thing. Keep em nice, and lets us know how its going in 2 to 3 wks. Ignore the rest! Any time that you use to reply to negative comments, is time that could be applied to your garden.
