Thoughts on grow closet. Need advice!

I have a 2.5'x4.5' closet that i turned into my little grow closet. With only a few inches both ways do you think it would be a good idea to buy a 2x4 tent to go inside of it to control the environment better? I figure with a sealed room like that i can run my ventilation, a fan and a duct from my AC vent into the tent to keep temps down below 80° and humidity will be a lot easier to control. Plus i made a post about what light to buy and i think ive decided on the migro aray4+red. Which he made specifically for a 2x4 tent so i figure i could get better results with that as well. Other benefits are i can keep the tent closed completely and i cannot do that with the closet due to the AC duct to cool it. Plus the tent will have the mylar diamond as well. (I think thats what its called) any advice whether or not i should do this? Sound good or bad?

I guess my question is would it be easier to control environment using a tent rather than a closet? I cant close the door to the closet so i know im losing light but its also hard to keep humidity in control without being able to close it. I painted the closet white already i been using it for a few months now just seeing if the tent inside it would be better idea?

Humidity shouldn't be an issue for you if you have an ac in the room. Will stick around 50 to 60 rh and that's fine with good fans

I think most people in a tent would be envious of your closet space.

After i read your response i checked my duct to see if i was good and it was ripped so i was hardly getting anything into the closet. I ran new duct through the wall this time so i can close the closet door and im getting temps between 73-75° and humidity is 50-58%. Is this good or should i tweak it in any way? I can add more AC to cool or take some away to heat up. Awesome control now.

They will be happiest around 80-82 degrees f in my experience. The humidity is fine too with fans and air exchange. Once you get everything going if your between 75 and 85 your good. A lil warmer will help that rh drop a little to. But watch big temp swings, using heat to drop rh means higher dew point

If you went with a light made for a 2x4 already, then I’d put it in a space that it’s made for.
Trying to light a bigger space may result in less than advertised results.

I have it set now to cool to about 75° while AC is running and when it shuts off it goes up to 79° within an hour or so. Is that bad? The humidity stays consistent. Should i be lower humidity? I can tweak the output of the ac to lower humidity. Its a rigged setup but it actually works pretty good. What i did was mounted the duct to the ac vent, and taped off the rest of it. If i need it to raise temp i just take a little tape away until its where i want it. Lol

Yea i had 2 bestva 1000s but one of tye ratchet clips gave out and boom broken light. So now im running 1 bestva 1000 and some cheap $20 amazon 1000watt light until i order a new light. Looking into the migro aray4+red, viparspectra xs4000 or grow science progrow 320. Still not sure and open to suggestions for that as well. Will be ordering next week sometime. Going whole new solid setup!

Add some get up and go to that light for cheap when you have the money. Until you can upgrade

I thought about that i actually built a 3 bulb fixture from old bathroom vanity light. Just need to grab the bulbs. But im about to order the new light anyways just have to decide on which one. Im sticking with my 2.5x4.5 closet its all the space i need just need that perfect light. Hard to find. Lol
