Thought it was ready guess not.

This plant was given to me 3 weeks into veg practically dead. Being that it was my first grow I vegged till saw pre-flowers and its been flowering since around mid November. Pure cfl grow no nutes and some molasses during flower. Due to unforseen shit i had to leave her alone for about a month and oh man did she change!

Most of the trichs are receding and changing color but some are still cloudy white. Yea I know microscope but I literally have no funds for that. I have popcorn buds at the bottom and was thinking of doing a staggered harvest as well. Theres also some new green growth in the developed bud which makes it look wierd. Am I on the right path?

That looks overripe to me. Take a nug and quick dry it. Smoke it and see what you got. I think it needs to come down now!;-)
 
bongsmilieDude for the limited amount of love that plant has recieved I'd say you are pretty darn lucky to have what you got.. I would start taking off the dead leaves and let the light get to the buds.. How long has it been in flower? I also think that maybe it's time to burn that tree downbongsmilie.... PEACE
 
Not limited love man, just no funds to properly do what i wanted to do. I was just dealing with what money and supplies I had. Its been in flower since mid nov.

I don't know what strain it is but it looks done to me. Radio shack has pocket microscopes for $12.99. If that's not an option then take a small nug and put it into a brown paper bag. In a day or 2 you can smoke it and see what it's like. That's the best way to tell if you can't get a microscope. :leaf:
 
im sure you can chop it now. im also sure you could wait a week and see if it makes a nice frostier fatter difference. It probably will. Mine always do. but it does look ripe to me if you desire the cut you've earned it. Like i said you could chop or give a week the choice is yours.
 
I doubt how much energy this plant still has.
I would give it a few days of total darkness to use whatever he got left and chop it down.

It looks amazing considering its a CFL grow with only molasses as nutes.

How much CFL actual wattage did you use?
 
That plant looks like it has another week or so. The pistils haven't really receeded into the bud. Plus, buds don't use light. The fan leaves & surrounding leaves absorbing light, provide the energy to make your buds grow.
 
your nugs have a good amount of swelling left to do, its gonna suck all the energy from the leaves and put it into the buds, causing nice swelling and density and potency. dont harvest b4 thats done, 1-2 weeks and it should be ready. staggered harvest can be done if you want, which i would do. just harvest the big colas when they are all ready and leave the little ones and you'll be fine.
 
I would harvest now.... looks like you got bananas starting to pop out through the buds... i can see them in the first 2 pics for sure.... If i was a betting man, i'd say if you look @ the bottom of the buds right at the nodes you will see a cluster of seeds...

Atleast that's what I found w/ one of my ladies that hermed on my last grow... The seeds were really REALLY hard to find, but eventually it starting popping out those yellow looking banana things on the buds...

So yeah, i'd just harvest... looks good though all things considered... good job!

That's the first thing I noticed also. Although I was gonna ask for a little more close up pic just to be sure.

I'm guessing he's going to at least find some half formed, immature seeds in those colas.

I'd also have to say it's time to harvest and that "all things considered" that plant turned out way better than any one would have a right to expect it to.
