the whole sun lol, like someone stated before move your light closer and your plant will be bushier, you can add as much light as you want, consider 3 things first. 1.Pocket book 2. grow space 3. How deep do you want to get in the weed growing culture then you will know how much and what lighting you want to use.

It's hard to "overdo" it with CFL's.
Actually, I vegged with more than that.

I am in a 2x2 space, one plant with 305w., and if I had started sooner, would have more in there actually.
If you look at Grorite's avatar, that is one of the light fixtures he made/ used last year.
Check out my link in my sig, I have pics of mine.

I have just over 70 watts of cfl right now how much more do you think I can add?
the more watts the better but you also need to consider the spectrum of lights....6500k and/or 5000k for growing.....2700k and/or 5000k for flowering

your first light was a 26W 2700K...I see you are saying you now have 32w and a 45w...what is the spectrum of those lights, do you still have the 26w light, as it would be good for the flower stage

I actually germed mine in MG LOL
What type of MG do you think is best for veging and flowering? I'm currently using MG moisture control on a green crack clone, she seems to be doing ok. She has been in the soil about a week now and is growing ok she's a light green but I read green crack clones tend to be light green.

I germed the plant I'm growing now in moisture control, and that is what she is in to this day.
I'm happy with it, with about 35-40% perlite mixed in.

Ack, go grab the boxes/packaging and look for the K on it.. would say 2600K or something to that effect - that determines light spectrum that it will produce, as you will need different a few different ones.

okay great...things should get better with more horsepower

PS: if you look closely at the fine print on the bulb, it will state the bulb's ratings.... or by the typical Phillips marketing names..... "Daylight" = 6500k, "Bright White" = 5000k and "Soft White" = 2700k

ok so I now have the white hairs it is now a she. I dont have alternating nodes yet but it is bushy and about 3ft tall. I have switched over to 12/12. again since I'm only doing this for fun I have not given any nutrients other than what is in my mg. With all the stuff I have done to this plant it should be dead......I'm really curious what kind of yield it will give living off of mg and water!

I see. Well you certainly seem the energetic type otherwise. Good luck. Lazy people usually do not go too far. Lazy ones asking for help don't even go that far.
C'mon over, we'll smoke the place up and get hammered on rum while we discuss why people ask for help, then can't be bothered to provide the information those trying to help need to make sure it's fixed/solved.

it was a joke drama queen
what was a joke drama queen.....seems you are not really that interested in learning, so I've given up trying to provide you with honest feedback as you don't appear to give a shit nor reply to questions asked....have fun with your grow

you haven't answered my questions....such as being 10 inches away...and what exact lights do you really own and are using......simple questions I've asked with no reply......that's why I'm being "over sensitive" ...you're wasting my time

Well the plant is gorgeous.

If you want yield, get a hps. Those fluorescents will work but the penetration is crap. That's what she said.

Next you'll need a carbon filter so your neighbors down the block don't smell it.

I wouldn't be so sure about the gender of the plant just yet. Also I think the OPs are nagging you because you've yet to provide the spectrum information of the lights so that they can tell you rather you got the right deal for the coming flowering of your plant.
