This package look good?

I've been looking at the package above. I'm wanting to grow DWC ScroG with either 1 or 2 plants in the tent.

I would obviously need to purchase the DWC buckets, some additional air pumps/stones, a fan for inside the tent itself and create my ScroG net, but does this package look good? I have found the same package for slightly cheaper on a few other sites, but the shipping on the other sites is $500+ and on monstergardens its <$200, so I'm thinking this is the package for me.

Thoughts, and am I missing any key pieces of equipment not listed either in the package or by me above?

its not a bad deal but its not a good one either, personally when i spend big like that i expect things to be more discounted than everyone else, i dont care if it says its already discounted. i could buy that exact setup you have and a few DIY'ers and im good to go, fan,ballast, light, bulb, c filter, ducting and maybe a tent, the rest can all be made for half the price, so it can go both ways, personally i wouldnt do that if its ur first time and what not u could just buy a simple bulb ballast setup, nice fan nice filter and your ready to rock, u can make a tent, its not hard, u could not even use a tent, thats even less hard. good luck

seems like a decent start kit with all/most of what you need to get it started, I don't know the shop of the brand/quality of the kit but seems legit to me


and two things I see going for this kit is the cool tube, HID lights do provide a lot of heat and in a small tent it will quickly get very hot if you dont have a nice ventilation, the cool tube will just make it even more easy to keep the temepratures down and make you able to keep the light even closer (nice in a scrog)

I had a 600W HPS and I couldn't get it closer then 20" after fitting a cool hood I could move it down to 12-15" and that is a hugh advances with artificial lights and it make my temps drop +5F as weel


seccon thing I see going for this kit is the fact that it run both MH and HPS so your able to run the MH in veg/fist few weeks of flowering and then swap to the HPS to finish it up with (best of both worlds)

You get what you pay for. That kit has garbage bulbs and a garbage hood. And guess what the two most important aspects of an indoor set up are.... the bulbs and the hood.

If I were you I would seriously consider..

galaxy 600 digital ballast..ebay $140
blockbuster hood online $180
GE lucolous HPS $60
any cheap MH bulb $15
any cheap 6" fan $120
2 x2 wood from home depot, some panda film and an adhesive zipper $50
small carbon filter $150

These are all real prices, so for $715 you have a ghetto looking tent but you have one of the best hoods available right now, a solid ballast that will hold its value, and great bulbs. Plus you will have money left over for a good PH meter $60, a ppm meter $40, and a great air pump.. namely this one...

slightly expensive but the pondmasters are awesome!! They are SILENT, don't run hot and will run forever.

It's up to you, but trust me, that hood blows donkey dicks.

I found another setup with the hood i originally wanted and the price is much better.

If the bulbs suck, I'll upgrade them from a local hydro store

i agree with the previous poster, i think you shouldnt waste your time on this shit. i use an eye horti-lux bulb, its gotten me through over 4 grows so far, i think its a great bulb, but i paid alot for it, and the bulb i had previously didnt make it through one grow, i bought it thru some bullshit hydro store i think HTG and it was TRASH, the light wsnt even bright and it literally burned out within weeks/a couple months. not worth it to me, got with reputable people when you buy equipment. get good bulbs, good ballasts all that shit...cheaply made shit might be cheaper right now, but in the end you will be paying double becasue your going to have to buy the shit stuff, let it break and then learn your lesson and buy the good shit....we already did that for you, so...just buy the good shit lol good luck
