i have a little seedling under the light right now. i hear from a lot of websites that 16 hours of light and 8 hours of dark has a better chance of creating a female plant. is this true? also i read that interupting the night cycle with 1 hour of light can produce more females.

does my female need a male to produce smokable buds? will the buds form without being pollinated by a male?

approximately how big will an indoor plant get? can i trim it down if its too big? how much bud will my single plant produce?

is there a way to make my plant produce buds? i read that reducing the light-time and increasing the dark time tricks the plant into thinking its time to mate, making it flower buds. and how big does the plant have to be in order to start this process?

when should i transfer my seedling to a bigger pot? and approximately how big should this new pot be?

and finally, how should i dry my buds? is it as simple as snipping and hanging to dry? or is there pressing involved?

your help is greatly appreciated, thank you! :joint::joint::joint:

WoW, you need to read some more, but heres my attempt at answers for you.

i have a little seedling under the light right now. i hear from a lot of websites that 16 hours of light and 8 hours of dark has a better chance of creating a female plant. is this true? YES, but theres more to it than just this, in your case...Keep It Simple, go with 18/6

also i read that interupting the night cycle with 1 hour of light can produce more females. NO

does my female need a male to produce smokable buds? NO

will the buds form without being pollinated by a male? YES

approximately how big will an indoor plant get? Depends on strain
can i trim it down if its too big? YES
how much bud will my single plant produce? 7 lbs. Only kidding ya. How many tomatoes does a tomato plant produce?

is there a way to make my plant produce buds? go to 12/12 lighting
i read that reducing the light-time and increasing the dark time tricks the plant into thinking its time to mate, making it flower buds. and how big does the plant have to be in order to start this process? 5 to 6 nodes, usually indoor growers flower at about 12" since plants will atleast double after flowering is started

when should i transfer my seedling to a bigger pot? and approximately how big should this new pot be? Prior to getting rootbound. What size are they in now? Usually whenever you transplant, you want to atleast double the size of the container.

and finally, how should i dry my buds? is it as simple as snipping and hanging to dry? air dry for a few days, than place em into paper bags for a few weeks.

Honeslty, you are way ahead of yourself, and you need to start with the basics, like lighting, what are you using for lights?

Your female doesn't need a male to produce smokable buds.

The plant will get about as big as you let it get within it's genetic boundaries.

Yes you can trim or crop it.

To find your yield read this: https://www.rollitup.org/newbie-central/8328-how-much-will-i-yeild.html

To make buds you but your plant into flower. That is you go from a light cycle of 18/6 to 12/12.

You can start this process after about a month.
